Villanova (MSG), Sat., Jan. 11 , 7p, CBSSN

But there's so many more games to switch between because in addition to Fox Sports, ESPN, CBSSPORTS you have all the ESPN+ games. At least on mine they tend to put all the basketball stuff together so I just scroll horizontally to find my college game, although there are exceptions to that. Where we find it a bit more of a pain is if we want to quickly switch to the Tennis Channel which is part of their sports add on we usually have to go to the search function.

As much as some folks hate CA, i really like a real homecourt advantage. UCONN fans complaining that Nova brought their game on campus to block UCONN fans buying up seats in Philly. Saturday game will drsw a sizeable Nova crowd but hopefully crowd is 2/3 sju or better.

Which is exactly what we should do until we consistently draw at MSG. A tourny berth and a win there or two should be the momentum to do just that.

Know some Nova fans who work in NYC intending to come Saturday. The same will probably hold true w GT game & fans earning living in big Apple. When we don’t sell out I am ok w opponents fans being there, makes for a nice atmosphere, UConn excluded. I sat next to Ralph Dalton of GT a few times years back in the day & enjoyed the banter.

Dixon takes shots in locker room and will always take the most attempts, but a few other guys, Poplar and Longino, are playing well. Their bench is anemic, however and I trust our physical play and pressure will wear Nova down, but should be a fun game. (And SJ win)

I also don't trust their big man at all. You've got two defensive liabilities, and Dixon can get tired.

Dixon played all 40 minutes last night and agreed he could probably use some limited rest, but they are desperate. He didn't shoot particularly well, and forced plenty of shots. Drew a ton of fouls though, his size and quickness is hard to contain at times. Also because he doesn't shy away from contact, the refs seem to give him every whistle.

Would love to see Glover cleared to play as he'd really improve our bench depth which would normally be a big advantage over Nova.

I think that we'll get a good crowd at MSG. Hopefully most will be SJU fans. There are a lot of Nova grads in the NYC area.
Nova fans will come out, there were a lot of them there last year. But you wouldn't notice because they had hardly anything to root for from beginning to end. A pretty drama free SJU win. Hoping for something similar Saturday.

I am excited to see how many SJU fans we can get in the building for this one. I was at the last MSG game against New Mexico, and it was a pretty sleepy crowd aside from a surprising number of Lobo fans

I'm hoping for a letdown after their big win last night.

Yes, on all counts: He should get worn down by our pace of play and length (he had a few shots blocked last night by bigger wingspan guys); he does draw A LOT of fouls, so that is a concern.
