Villanova (MSG), Sat., Jan. 11 , 7p, CBSSN

I'm less concerned with Dixon than the Gtown young center -- who is an ox. Zuby is so good on the perimeter and Prey is good #2 there. Would love to see Zuby out of foul trouble, because that will be a nightmare. Should be one of Dixon's tougher matchups this year.
I’m amazed by Dixon development during his career. But I think he could be susceptible to our pace and length.

anyone going to the 1870 pregame ? Gotta decide between that or Tir Ba Nog or gulp…… going straight to game

Villanova close win tonight is probably a good result for us mentality wise for Saturday. Had they lost that game their season would essentially be on the line Saturday night. Now they can kind of survive a loss to us.

I think we open 6ish point favs but they are a scary team right now

This was the last game that UCONN lost, prior to tonight, in Big East play:

This what the team that beat them that night, did in their next game:

Saturday will be a tough game.

Longino reminds me of Stevie Mitchell on Marquette — everywhere on the court, great defense. Dixon really reminds me of Julius Randle (lol), but I do think our level of athleticism will bother him like UConn’s did.

If Poplar, Perkins and Brickus hit shots, their offense is dangerous.

I do think we are going to see an extremely similar strategy against Xavier, in terms of constantly attacking the basket.

Wow Karaban misses both free throws with 3 seconds to go and a one point deficit. Nova beats UConn. Makes our game more interesting. Both teams 4-1 in Big East.

Guarding Dixon is going to be a challenge. He can shoot from everywhere. I would put Scott on him like a fly on Sh*t.
