I think there was 1 let’s go nova Chant all night when they went up by 4 in 2h and st johns fans drowned it out very quickly

An atmosphere like that brought back alot of great memories
Great crowd Loved the red towels on each seat
 
Yesterday I appreciated Pitino’s coaching mind. I have low bball IQ than most of the posters here but what I saw yesterday as a layman was good substitution patterns and good use of the press when needed. Pitino also adjusted well to when Smith was hurt. Our D was very good. We were able to control and bother an experienced player such as Dixson.

One of these things is not like the other.

One is a talented but developing freshman. One is a thus far dissapointing oft injured sophomore. And one is our senior floor general. A key kog in the wheel perhaps even more valuable than our other stalwarts Rj and Zuby.

We need one of our injured players back as long as it's the right one.

He did not like Scott on him one bit. He was able to bully Zuby a little because Zuby had to worry his drive and that left him open to the power moves.

Scott doesn’t have to worry about the drives and is long and athletic enough to challenge the shot after Dixon tries to create space shoving his shoulder and/or elbow into him.

Dixon played 38 mins with 2 rebs. Vince played 5 mins with 5 boards. Nice effort from Vince.

Prey was particularly impressive when he switched to covering a smaller quick guard…he held his ground and made it very diffcicult…smart player who is adjusting to the quickness of the US college game and will be a good one for us.
