If Lovett leaves do we have any other recruiting targets for next season or are we going to struggle again to find offense?

maybe we make a sneak attack on # 20 overall rank Kobi Simmons who is a PG.... he had UNLV on his list along with Ohio State and Kentucky.

that would be sweet.... again if true

but if crap hits the fan, I guess a transfer which is what this thread is about right ? :unsure:
 
Outside of Moose who might need a defibrillator, is anyone shocked by this?

Also why is everyone sleeping on Ponds? People were even posting he would be the guy to come off the bench in our pipe dream scenario of having all three guards here.
 
Can we pump the breaks on this. Last thing I want is our "twitter following" going nuts. Plus this would be just absolutely terrible news. All I want to see is a LoVett - Ponds backcourt. I dont care who else, just give me that.
 
realistically if we had doomsday scenario by friday my guess would be going the juco 5th year grad route but that's me guessing. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. Tick tock

As with my often mentioned threesome with Scarlett Johansson and Kate Upton, some wants just aren't destined to be. Hopefully this is all smoke and no fire , but as Rose McGowan said in Scream: "You can only hear the Richard Gere / gerbil rumor so many times before you believe it"

All along I've said if he completes his work he will be eligible next season to dispute your theory that he would have to prove himself to NCAA again.

Would I be shocked if he didn't? No it's SJU and the kid went to 3 or 4 high schools.

Just busting on you, but like you said this did not seem like the kid that would finally break our streak of bad luck.
 
Instead of all this speculation and the innuendos and panicky predictions, can someone who has any inside information just come out and flat-out say what's going on (or what's rumored to be going on)?

In my defense I reassessed that opinion a couple weeks ago. I will admit that you are most likely right and I was most likely wrong. Kid is a stud.

More than just you, but really I am just trying to move on from Lovett. Think about it though in what world does ST John's have a kid like Mussini coming off the bench anyway.
 
Might sound crazy but Jungle Dave who has followed Ellison for a long time thinks he has the potential to be our best pg. Interestng thought. No matter how off he might be shooting some games I'm all for giving him as much time on the floor this year as he can handle

Insiders stop being insiders when they blab too much though. I see at least three guys on this thread who definitely have access to inside information, and they aren't trying to calm us down. Sometimes you just have to read between the lines, and hope the story breaks when it's safer to break.
 
Dave at JJ mentioned earlier about Lovett playing on an ex SJU defector team. Than elaborated in a later thread about Lovett going to all those HSs. If Ellison is as good of a PG as Dave says why isn't he playing PG?
 
Ponds, Mussini, Ahmed, Geman Kid that looks like Zack Morris' and Joffrey Baratheon's love child, Yakwe and Sima. You can build on that
 
Doesn't make sense . He busted his behind his SR. Year trying to get eligible. Why quit academically this year? Also why loose another year by transferring. But, We are St. John's.

I guess the question is, why? Regardless of which player starts. A rotation of Lovett/Ponds/Mussini as the three main 1s/2s - would all receive a ton of playing time...
