Who from this team leaving would be that detrimental to the future? Granted I say that believing it definitely isn't Sima (he seems very happy here). I also think Mussini is very happy and Yakwe is developing very nicely. After that I don't know who could leave that would cause an issue in the future for us with all the talent we have coming in (don't forget Williams and Owens as well). Am I missing something?

hypothetically speaking if someone were to leave I think it's safe to say they weren't a big impact for us this season

Well I now know it is one of the three I mentioned, I am just surprised. Any particular reasoning as to why someone would leave now, especially with the playing time and what we are building?

Exactly austour. My post was based on the future. I don't really care if someone who plays a lot now but has no real future getting time here leaves, i.e. Amar or Jones, but I don't want to see any of our good young players leave. I don't see this as so obvious, unless it's Ellison, who I don't foresee ever being better than a depth guard (I happen to like his game, but with Ponds, Lovett, Mussini and future recruits, he should never be a starter).

Thanks for the info guys, I finally figured it out, but unfortunately this is the way of the world, not just college basketball. People have no loyalty, especially younger people, and everyone thinks grass is always greener on the other side.

Why would LoVett leave knowing that he will be the starting Point Guard next year? It doesn't make sense. Especially since it would cost him another half a season.

fair point as I didn't see him at Creighton home game at CA on 12/31, but I also didn't see Darien WIlliams either while Owens was there. Could not tell from Xavier home game on 1/6.
