He was an average player at UNLV, and did not show much improvement, but he did not have the best coaching staff to develop his game. Our shortened roster could use him as a reserve forward. He is available only due to his arrest a few months ago. Whole story has not really come out , but it appears to involve chemical impairment and a problem with police on the scene. He was bailed out by Menzies. Not a problem prior to this event.
another good sized body would be very welcome to start the year and his rebounding numbers are decent. I saw some comments from UNLV fans who really seemed to like him and praised his aggressiveness. Short of a genuine character issue as opposed to a one time screw up, this sounds good to me. We've done pretty well with Baltimore and for that matter Carmelo wanted to come to St John's but Jarvis didn't think he was good enough to even talk to...

Scoring wise not much to show, averaged 5 points for two years. Rebounding, however, looks good - 3 (frosh) 4.7 (soph).

Would be helpful for depth. I wouldn't expect to much from him as whatever team he joins in December he won't hade played or practiced for quite some time.
