Transfers

Looking at all these transfers and decommits, you better have a couple scholis open in April.

not a transfer but:

@GoodmanESPN: Michigan State commit Caleb Swanigan has decommitted, source told ESPN. Hearing Purdue is strong for a landing spot.

Big X to Big X? interesting....

I would have thought Kentucky.

His legal guardian played football at Purdue and for the Detroit Lions.

Are there several more transfers this year, then years past?

Paul, who is your avatar?

It's definitely Caleb. I see no connection...hoping Paul knows something.

Edit: I just remembered that Slice was recruiting him to Kentucky. That would be the connection, I'd guess.

Didn't know where else to put this after the Sampson thread was locked.

Looking over the LSU roster (trying to find an underdog for 2016 championship), and they return two rising junior SGs that played over 34 mpg last year (Hornsby and Quarterman). They also bring in Blakeny (#13 projected NBA pick), have a top 100 caliber rising soph PG that played 27 mpg last year, and a rising redshirt-junior guard that played 20 mpg. Of course, they also signed a projected top 3 NBA pick in SF/PF Simmons.

For a kid that said he wanted to play early, it doesn't look like that's in the card for at two years barring an injury or Quarterman jumping to the NBA early (projected 2016 2nd rounder). And it's not like Blakeny is a guarantee to go after just a year as a 6'3 combo guard. Puzzling.

Great avatar
I assume It's little Marillac.

Nice avatar, looks like we are chillin while fishing..........

Repelling not fishing. :)

Rappelling, not repelling. Duke is repelling. Going down a vertical slope using specialized gear is rappelling.

OMG somebody move this to the "spelling bullies" thread, pronto! Or maybe Tonto! Oh crap, now we have to figure out whether to move it to the "fools" thread instead....

In my defense, I knew the correct spelling. But I felt the need to shoehorn a crummy joke in.

LJSA
I wonder how many people know what a shoehorn is? Wow a blast from the past! In the Army we were issued one.

Along with a musket and a pint of rum? :)

Actually Redken rum
is more of a boat thing (because of my background I'm
allergic to saying "Navy")
Whiskey was the drink of choice for soldiers and officers, I would say
Happy hour to all posters! Let's cheer our fearless leaders!! Ulysses brought determination, passion, results to the Union. Clear parallel to Chris and what he's bringing.

Wow American history! American basketball!!
Let's go St. John's!
all the best

Thank you :) It is from about six months ago when he first wore his Mullin jersey.

Nice reference. It reminded me when my now 18 year old college freshman was an infant, the first song I taught him was what the SJU band has played for generations.. You know, no words, all trumpets, and then "Go St. John's". I'd imitate the trumpets and trombones, and he was so little with almost no vocabulary, and at first all he could say was "St. John."

Each of my kids went somewhere else, but all love SJU basketball. Start them young.

Thanks for the memory. :)

I was pushing him on the swing last month and he yelled "Go St. John's!" out of nowhere. It was a pretty awesome moment from a kid under 2 1/2. I taught him the cheer before the SDSU game. I couldn't believe he remembered it.

I don't know if this was mentioned but Marco Baldi says Jay Henderson is transferring.

anyone hear any word on where any of our transfers are looking at? Very curious to see if a major player will take a look at Adonis or if he is destined for a program like Fordham or Hofstra.
