247 is reporting Sterling Gibbs to UCONN

Edit: @JonRothstein: Contrary to reports, SHU transfer Sterling Gibbs has not committed anywhere, source told @CBSSports. List expected to be cut this weekend.
 
Chance Murray is leaving Arizona State. He is a guard who was highly recruited in high school, but has been a backup at Arizona State for the previous two years. I doubt he is immediately eligible.

Nobody is immediately eligible anymore unless they have already graduated
 
Assuming Mussini opts for college & wants to play in States a few years, this can't hurt SJU chances;

@UndercoverFriar: Washington transfer Nigel Williams-Goss is headed to Gonzaga. Tough blow for Ed Cooley, who was confident he would land the former McD's AA.
 
@JonRothstein: Missouri transfer Jonathan Williams III told @CBSSports he will visit SMU on 5/8 + Georgetown on 5/15. Gonzaga + Michigan St. also in mix.

He would have to be a one and done at Gonzaga. I really hope we can land him. Really increases our options next year.

would have liked to seem him go to providence but if there was one school i could wish he would go to other than providence it would be the zags to help us with mussini
 
@AdamZagoria: Can confirm that Seton Hall transfer Sterling Gibbs is expected to visit Pitt Tuesday. Brother went to Pitt. @MattSteinbrink 1st reported.
 
Didn't know where else to put this after the Sampson thread was locked.

Looking over the LSU roster (trying to find an underdog for 2016 championship), and they return two rising junior SGs that played over 34 mpg last year (Hornsby and Quarterman). They also bring in Blakeny (#13 projected NBA pick), have a top 100 caliber rising soph PG that played 27 mpg last year, and a rising redshirt-junior guard that played 20 mpg. Of course, they also signed a projected top 3 NBA pick in SF/PF Simmons.

For a kid that said he wanted to play early, it doesn't look like that's in the card for at two years barring an injury or Quarterman jumping to the NBA early (projected 2016 2nd rounder). And it's not like Blakeny is a guarantee to go after just a year as a 6'3 combo guard. Puzzling.

Seems they are desperate for players.
If you look at his stats they were very mediocre for 25 minutes a game of pt.
Glad we didn't even entertain the thought of him coming to SJU.
I love the players we have as well as the players the staff has us involved with.
I feel very comfortable that more good news will come in the not too distant future.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think Sampson wanted to go to LSU all along. They just never offered him in the beginning.
