Transfers

Didn't know where else to put this after the Sampson thread was locked.

Looking over the LSU roster (trying to find an underdog for 2016 championship), and they return two rising junior SGs that played over 34 mpg last year (Hornsby and Quarterman). They also bring in Blakeny (#13 projected NBA pick), have a top 100 caliber rising soph PG that played 27 mpg last year, and a rising redshirt-junior guard that played 20 mpg. Of course, they also signed a projected top 3 NBA pick in SF/PF Simmons.

For a kid that said he wanted to play early, it doesn't look like that's in the card for at two years barring an injury or Quarterman jumping to the NBA early (projected 2016 2nd rounder). And it's not like Blakeny is a guarantee to go after just a year as a 6'3 combo guard. Puzzling.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think Sampson wanted to go to LSU all along. They just never offered him in the beginning.

He didn't even make the right decision if sitting was OK for him -- should have gone to Cal.

Really is amazing what Cuonzo Martin is doing there

Just that his former AAU coach, who is assisting him with process, is being thorough before moving forward. Moose has much more detail on this.

Seems like perfect fit;

@jeffborzello: Davidson landed a commitment from Boston College transfer Will Magarity last night. 6-11, can step out and shoot.

@ESPNDanaOneil: Grad transfers aren't worst thing in hoops, but try telling that to Bruiser Flinthttp://t.co/PrupquCXng

Interesting article and view from Flint's perspective.

And if Bruiser Flint was offered the head coaching job at a bigger school, say Louisville for example, he would not think twice of leaving his Drexel kids in the dust.

Not a transfer but;

@Tariq_NPH: Eli Long has decommitted from Florida Gulf Coast, and back on the board. 1 of the top Canadian PGs in the country.

not a transfer but:

@GoodmanESPN: Michigan State commit Caleb Swanigan has decommitted, source told ESPN. Hearing Purdue is strong for a landing spot.
