I'm not sure if this has been posted, but 6'4 Soph PG, Terrance Samuel, is transferring from UConn. He'd be a strong backup PG for someone. He played 9 mpg for UConn's national championship team two years ago.

When I read about it I initially wondered whether we would take a shot at him. I kind of like the idea of bringing in an experienced guy and having him practice for a year.

LSU if they can make space. He was high school teammates with Simnons and played against Blakely.

Considering none of our present staff was at any of the schools he was involved with when he made his decision to go to Florida, I doubt we make his list. LSU, wasn't on that list either but might have some appeal based on the points raised by Marillac.

Considering none of our present staff was at any of the schools he was involved with when he made his decision to go to Florida, I doubt we make his list. LSU, wasn't on that list either but might have some appeal based on the points raised by Marillac.

He was originally a G'town commit before he decided on Florida. He reneged on G'town shortly after Jessie Govan committed to the Hoyas.

Seems like all of the schools he was considering were SEC schools. Florida has the right to block him from some schools, right?

I don't think schools typically restrict recruits who are released from LOIs like they do with transfers. I think doing so after a coaching change is even less common.

I'm expecting more on the shot-blocking front from him. Hopefully he lives in the weight room all summer so he can add the strength to keep his man off the boards.
