Transfers

@WisBBYearbook: Big pickup for coach Steve Wojciechowski and Marquette in UNC-Ashville transfer Rowsey.

I will never be able to figure out why these kids deny committing to a school . . . and then commit to that school.

Because they want to be the one to break the news.

He didn't break it, though. It was already broken.

If kids don't want the news broken before they could break it, they need to lose the big mouths in their inner circle,

@GoodmanESPN: Shabazz Muhammad's brother, Rashad, is transferring from San Jose State, sources told ESPN. Sophomore averaged 13.9 ppg this past season.

@JonRothstein: Bradley transfer Josh Cunningham is considering Illinois, Dayton, Mississippi St, + Colorado St, sources told @CBSSports. 7.9 PPG, 7.5 RPG.

Man, this really surprises me.

Not surprised

Remember when fans were saying that St. John's had a special group of walk ons at the beginning of last season (i.e. Myles Stewart & Jay Henderson)? As I said back then, there's a reason they were walk ons to begin with

Take that with a grain of salt. There isn't anything concrete on Henderson transferring. Not to mention, Henderson had legit D-1 offers.

Not sure why we continually knock walkons here. We had a strong group of walkons and that is undeniable. It's not their fault we had so many other roster holes. Obviously any reasonable fan would want a full roster of good players before quality walkons, but having both is what develops continuity in a program.

I know some here are not fans, but with Jordan doubtful, mussini unknown and lovett questionable, I think staff should go after Carter big time.

Why is he questionable ?

I've heard the staff is optimistic he's going to qualify, but I don't think it's certain. For the record, I'm just repeating what I've seen posted. I have no inside info one way or the other.

@JonRothstein: Providence transfer Paschal Chukwu will take visits to Kansas, Nebraska, Virginia, and Michigan State, source told @CBSSports. #pcbb

I am surprised UConn is not on the list. It is possible Providence gave him his release but stipulated he could not transfer to UConn or maybe they or him weren't interested.
