I doubt Storr or King were staying if Anderson was kept on. Not surprised their leaving. I appreciate their time here, wish them well.
Yeah, it does but it wouldn't last long if the 15-minute guy outperforms the highly-touted new guy for a few games. Minutes would be adjusted. It's about wins high major hoops, which produces big $$$'s to the coach and the college.Yes, it happens all the time.
Stop coddling the malcontents they deserve a boot in the ass they are being ridiculous.Fellas, it’s up to Pitino to make a believer out of all of us. I think we’ve all just gotten jaded with our constant lack of success over the past 30 years. I’m pretty sure Rick has far higher standards with respect to what he wants to do here, than we do.
Rick invited Storr back and he declined. That’s on Storr, not the coach. Pitino will not cry about it I’m sure. Let’s see what remains of the rest of our guys. I’m fairly sure Pitino would like to keep Brandon Gardner in the fold as he seems the type of work horse that Pitino likes, but we don’t yet know what’s going on at both ends.
Just enjoy the process. It will be a roller coaster early on, but the guy running the show is the best around. We are used to amateur hour so I understand where people are coming from, but Rick P is a far cry from that.
Iona this past season has a player or two like Clayton etc who may be every bit as good or better than the guys cma recruited while he was here, and that was to a MAAC team. Have some patience and things are gonna change fast around here.
Man you got that right.Looks like we’re gonna need 10-12 players instead of 6-8.
Omar Stanley is one. He outplayed virtually everyone when he was on the floorUnless I see a whole bunch of examples I'm going to disagree.
If he did it was his teammates he outplayed not the oppositionOmar Stanley is one. He outplayed virtually everyone when he was on the floor
Ftr…Storr is the guy I’m the most upset about. He’s gonna be a really nice player for someone next year. He might not be the best defender on the floor but he definitely has an “it” factor you cannot deny.FWIW year one doesn't really matter too much. We want to be loaded for bear in year two. There isn't one guy who left, not even Storr, that is a huge loss. And if he left for any reason other than "I can make more NIL elsewhere" then it doesn't speak well of him.
The surprising thing to me is how bad the culture under Anderson apparently was. Perhaps the firing for cause has some teeth, and isn't just a way to try to save a million or two.
I could care less that these players are all leaving! I am happy that Soriano is staying because he is a star in the making and earned everything. I’m interested in players not emotional attachments. Others have too much downside to bring team to elite status. You’ve got the best in Pitino which you all wanted . Now you all doubt the best? Gimme a break. The doubters just like to hear themselves talk, no sense in the criticisms.I gotta believe, with Posh and Storr leaving, that Pitino knows who’s coming that will upgrade the backcourt right away. I’m a fan of both players, and I believe they would have contributed a lot next year with his coaching and system. That said, he’s won big everywhere, so he deserves to pick the players he wants.
