Sorry to see all these players leave SJU but especially sorry to see Posh depart. I truly enjoyed watching every game he played for SJU.

I do think it is possible. Holloway had a big hug for Posh on the handshake line after the Carnessecca game. The way it looked, I was already wondering.

The Bottom line of all this is only a few , if any posters here really knew what went on in the CMA locker room or Classroom. Pitino stated there were problems in both Areas . And , why he only mentioned Soriano and Traore as Players he choose to return . We don’t know who among the remaining players he wanted to keep snd what he expected from them . It just seems to me , that Pitino felt the talent level was not able to quickly compete for a BE Title and ultimately a NCAA Championship . He’s got his hooks into a number of top tier Portal players and you can bet he will land more than a few . At least , we now know we have a good chance to become a Winning Program again . Rick isn’t fooling around . He’s on a limited Clock and knows it .
 
From a straight BB perspective I don't have a problem gutting the team. We were 8th in the BE and have been utter horse-poop. Pitino can do what he wants with the roster. Sure most of you know this is a business and when a new regime comes in they want their guys and only a select few of the current people.

Really sad that Posh is gone from a human standpoint as he was my sons favorite player and seems like a good kid. But honestly don't know anything about any of these guys personally.

Bottom Line. We have sucked for so long and the games last year were so unwatchable Let Rick be Rick. He's been a winner everywhere and we as SJU fans are not used to that...

Agree SLY, just wished Posh and Rick could've agreed on the 'right' role for Posh, but I'm sure Rick has sights on his backcourt and confident he'll get them.
Plus, I'm sure that Posh will land and succeed at another high major.
Wish him well but not against us.
These are exciting days.

The problem with Curbs and Jonesy is that they have to sit out a year. Most likely they'll be 8th or 9th men if lucky.

How would that impact arbitration? If the kids were good and redeemable then it would strengthen the argument that Anderson was the problem, no?

As far as we , as fans , wanted Posh back , Pitino wants Guards who can shoot . That’s a arrow that Posh doesn’t have in his quiver . And , all the King’s horses and Pitino can’t give him that skill . Judging from who Pitino is targeting in the Portal , he’s looking for total package Guards that can do it all . Clayton jr and the others are in that category . Wusu and Posh aren’t . They gave their all for 3 years and wish them well in their new Schools . Pitino looks at a much higher plain than CMA did in terms of Recruiting .
