Transfer Portal

I would take Baylor Scheierman from South Dakota (now at Creighton) everyday of the week and twice on Sunday at St. John's

His whole argument made zero sense but if some people cant complain...you know how it goes.
Out of the 15 players who made the 3 All-BE teams (1st, 2nd and Honorable Mention) 7 of them were transfers.

Out of the 7 four came from non Power 6 conference schools. 1st team-Souley Boum of Xavier (San Fran/UTEP) and Tyler Kolek of Marquette (George Mason). 2nd Team was Joel Soriano of SJU (Fordham) and Honorable Mention was Baylor Scheirerman (South Dakota). That is more than 25% of the 15 best players in the League that came from non Power 6 conferences.

And it is not like Pitino is only targeting those kids, he has a top 50 recruit on campus today, offered Wash St TJ Bamba and contacted DJ Horne of Arizona St as well.

It is just a ridiculous argument that is laughable on its face.

There is skill in taking shots you know you can make. And while Stanley certainly wasn’t a featured player, there’s some sample size.

In two years he took 154 2’s.
He shot 65%.

Last year, in an all world season, Soriano took 209 2’s.
He shot 55%.
oh yeah lets keep stanley over Soriano. smh lol

Somehow you got your wires crossed. I said Anderson was a shit coach. You say he was decent. My point was Pitino probably would have taken us to the NCAA's with the same roster. My point is there was no need to get rid of the players...just the coach.
Has it occured to you that SJU's failure to get to the NCAA tourney was mostly attributable to the talent level -or work ethic- of the existing roster? And furthermore, Pitino knows it?

Zach just tweeted that we are dropping down to the MAAC.

Quoted Pitino calling the fanbase, and this site in particular, a bunch of impatient whiny bitches who don't deserve the Big East.
Not really fair. We have been incredibly patient !

You used roster as excuse for Anderson failing here. Didn’t realize ST John’s had a GM
But I did not excuse his coaching per se I simply said he was a bad fit who put together a poorly constructed roster. His overall coaching resume is still pretty good. So I dispute the notion he is a shit coach that is all. I did not give him a pass on how he did coaching at SJU.

If Butler does not start turning it around in the next few years does that mean Thad Matta is a shit coach? Go look at his resume.

I am sorry to see Storr leave. I was a big fan. I don't care whether it was his decision or Pitino's. The fact is he is gone and will be missed. I think he fits in well with the Villanova system. Now wouldn't that be a hoot.

fordham i do respect you and your posts. But as we have seen here andersons winning seasons were as a result of cpcake schedules in the beginning. Was he a good coach , yes. Did the game pass him by and failed to adapt, I believe so. Lets just move onward and upward. lets go rick! If you want to start complaining about a coach, mahoney is a good one lol.
