That’s just it. Unless Storr tells us why directly, all we can do is speculate as to why he decided to leave.Maybe Storr just didn’t want to put in the anticipated hard work?
No we didn't. He was not a shit coach, he was a bad fit with a maskeshift roster. Not the same. You don't win 400+ games over several major programs and be a shit coach. He was a bad fit based on a shotgun marriage.Somehow you got your wires crossed. I said Anderson was a shit coach. You say he was decent. My point was Pitino probably would have taken us to the NCAA's with the same roster. My point is there was no need to get rid of the players...just the coach.
Again it is a ridiculous assertion and then based on that ridiculous assertion he makes other assertions. That is how flawed logic works.Future All American/NBA player? What exactly did he do this year to convince you of this? Shows the lack of quality players we've had to anoint Storr as either one of those things.
He, and a couple of others here, clearly dislike Pitino. That is their right. But I’ll bet that are hoping that Rick will fail somehow so they can all say “See! We told you!”Again it is a ridiculous assertion and then based on that ridiculous assertion he makes other assertions. That is how flawed logic works.
So what do you consider BE players, players that play on a BE team automatically make them a BE player? So we had a Big East team last year and those Big East players are leaving. Every player Pitino seems to be going after are from Ivy and MAAC - so we may finally get out wish and be a MAAC school
Other than foul shooting which he wasn't good at what were Stanley's fg% and 3pg% this year ?The 3 players we lost today are all one dimessional players. Storr cant defend, Stanley and King cant shoot.
If you are insinuating that Stanley can shoot the ball, I dont know what to tell you.Other than foul shooting which he wasn't good at what were Stanley's fg% and 3pg% this year ?
Why don’t you just hold off any judgement until we have a full roster of players for next season? So we had a Big East team last year and those Big East players are leaving. Every player Pitino seems to be going after are from Ivy and MAAC - so we may finally get out wish and be a MAAC school
I dislike Pitino (I disliked the Mullin hire too) but at the end of the day, even the biggest anti Pitino guy would rather be happy than right. I certainly would rather see us go to the sweet sixteen and people point at me and say, 'Boy look how dumb you were to think Pitino wouldn't get us here'. Trust me there will be little solace in missing the post season next year and coming on to this board and saying 'boy that was a waste of $30M'.He, and a couple of others here, clearly dislike Pitino. That is their right. But I’ll bet that are hoping that Rick will fail somehow so they can all say “See! We told you!”![]()
You can’t answer the question ? 66.7% FG and over 40% 3pg%. No one says he’s a star but come on slow down with the dramatic statementsIf you are insinuating that Stanley can shoot the ball, I dont know what to tell you.
holding of judgement has no place on a fan forum. That's what's so good (and bad about it). Free sound board for opinions (awesome). Some real whacky claims and subsequent back and forths (not so awesome). Why don’t you just hold off any judgement until we have a full roster of players for next season?
I would take Baylor Scheierman from South Dakota (now at Creighton) everyday of the week and twice on Sunday at St. John'sSo what do you consider BE players, players that play on a BE team automatically make them a BE player?
Joel Soriano came from Fordham, a losing A-10 program. Why would he be a BE player anymore than say Walter Clayton transferring from Iona to a BE school or Chris Ledlum transferring from Harvard to a BE school?
So by your logic you can complain about these players NOT being BE players because they transfer in from non BE schools but once they put the uniform on of SJU they are now BE players and there for you have to cease complaining correct?
That is literally your logic unless you are going to go thru every BE player and tell me which ones you consider TRUE BE players and which ones are not? Tyler Kolek is the reigning BE POY he transferred in from George Mason and replaced the incumbent PG at Marquette. So Marquette recruited non-BE players to replace BE players, correct? By your logic that is BAD correct?
So are Tyler Kolek and Joel Soriano BE players because they currently are on a BE team? If no what actually makes them BE players?
Stupid logic does what stupid logic is.
BTW how do you explain North Carolina landing a Brown transfer and going hard after transfers from Towson and Harvard as well as Indiana? Same 2 players SJU is going after? Seems odd that they would get rid of an ACC player like Caleb Love to land NON-ACC players...no?
Big men also take a little longer to develop. I think Joel Soriano would be a great example of that. You can’t answer the question ? 66.7% FG and over 40% 3pg%. No one says he’s a star but come on slow down with the dramatic statements
Well, I agree with most of what you said. Especially pointing at you and saying “Look how dumb you look thinking Pitino wouldn’t get us here!”I dislike Pitino (I disliked the Mullin hire too) but at the end of the day, even the biggest anti Pitino guy would rather be happy than right. I certainly would rather see us go to the sweet sixteen and people point at me and say, 'Boy look how dumb you were to think Pitino wouldn't get us here'. Trust me there will be little solace in missing the post season next year and coming on to this board and saying 'boy that was a waste of $30M'.
Also players leaving are always going to be a sensitive subject, because we invested in rooting them on for a time. Plus, there's just some guys that are easy to root for, the ones that try hard, look engaged on the bench, don't punch Kolek in the face even if he deserved it. We all understand that there is going to be turnover ever year even in the best of times. It just sometimes feels as though when its a lot of guys leaving, you're rooting for laundry instead of the players. The good news is somethings never change, all recruits are potential all americans before the first game and we will always treat them as such!
