Hofstra?  I think Drexel?

Per Jake Leiberman

Hofstra guard Camren Wynter has put his name into the portal.

6'2 guard who averaged 15.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. Grad transfer.
Writer confused probably because he is Hempstead kid

I believe he is a Holy Trinity kid.

Yes

Drexel transfer and All-CAA First Team selection Cameron Wynter has been in contact with Clemson, NC State, Minnesota, Penn State and Arkansas amongst others, he told @247Sports.

Will be an early Portal priority.

Bamisile already transferred once.  Any chance he has to sit out?  I saw him play a couple of times.  GW was horrible.  Bamisile is very athletic (made some monster dunks) and streaky.  I don’t think he’s a particularly good shooter although his numbers were respectable.  I don’t have a sense as to how he was on the defensive end.

6’9” F from Ct area who plays at Stanford with Mike O’Connell,  former Chaminade kid whose brother Tom was SJU walk on last year.

Stanford forward Jaiden Delaire is in the transfer portal. Averaged 10 points and four rebounds this season for the Cardinal. 6-9 player with some length and athleticism. Hit 32% from 3 on about 3 attempts per game. Per Sam Vecenie

Not portal but relevant, Baltimore player;

Bryce Lindsay, a three-star guard in the 2022 class, has de-committed from South Carolina, he told 247Sports.

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound combo guard opened up his commitment following the dismissal of South Carolina head coach Frank Martin.Lindsay committed to South Carolina over several programs including Marquette, Virginia Tech, Georgetown and others in late January but did not sign a letter of intent.

I was thinking Paultz maybe start a 2022 recruits thread of kids who decommit or released from NLI.

Then if there is serious SJU interest start a thread directly under the recruits name.

As opposed to putting it in the Portal thread.

I have been trying to get my head around the new transfer rules and finally took the time to do some reading.  While the information I found was not at all straight forward, I believe I have nailed down the points I was most curious about.  Feel free to review and comment if you think I have missed something.

Transfer Rules Pertaining to Immediate Eligibility
1.  All student-athletes are permitted a one-time transfer and can play immediately

2.  Waivers to play immediately may be granted to those wishing to transfer for a 2nd time, however the rules are much more stringent and most will not qualify.

3.  Graduate students wishing to transfer for a 2nd time are not automatically granted immediate eligibility.  They must apply for a waiver which is easier to secure than a 2nd time non-graduate (see requirements below)

4.  Family Hardship Waivers still exist and apparently will have a high bar to qualify.

When does a Student-Athlete Gain an Extra (5th) Year of Eligibility?
Student-Athletes who competed last year have accrued an additional year of eligibility.  Essentially, last year did not count.  However, they must use all eligibility within a six-year window.  Athletes who did not compete last year have four years of eligibility to complete in a 5-year window.
