I get it that Curbelo might not be a great fit bc his game is similar to Posh and, particularly with Mathis staying, we need shooters. I also get that Curbelo is coming off a poor year. But the kid is an incredible talent and I don’t think the staff is going to get many opportunities for signing that level of talent. CMA and staff need to roll the dice and take some chances in a make or break year next year. I get it that it’s a risk, but if we could get Curbelo, I’d take him in a heartbeat. Also love the local connection.

We should definitely get Curbelo if we can despite his lack of shooting. Can’t we get a shooting coach in here to work with Posh , Wusu, Mathis and possibly Curbelo if he comes. Hey someone to work with them all summer.
 
I agree, if Curbelo is considering St. John's, you have to go after him. That said, like everyone else, I would be concerned about stockpiling talent that can't shoot.

I know we are not Nova (the most success college program over the last 5 years), but it's worth noticing that Jay Wright simply does not put players on the floor that can't shoot. Not one. If you can't shoot, you can't play minutes for Nova. Not saying we can or have to be them, but whether it's sports or business, it's always smart to take note of what's working elsewhere.

Not optimistic for next year with an entire team that can't shoot. Maybe that's what God intends for SJ to make a change. Coach K and Rick Pitino couldn't win with that mix of players. It's great to have a Posh and Curbelo but who do they pass the ball to?????
