The kid is from the Miami area , maybe there’s a connection to Storr and/or King. A 6’7 230lb wing who shot 63% from the floor , 33.3% from 3, sign me up.
Which player are you looking at? Omier is a true big that doesn't leave the paint. He's made one 3 on 5 attempts in his two-year college career.

He'd probably be the best true big we've had in a long while and would form a nice duo with Soriano to tag in and out of games. Would be a huge get though I'm sure he won't have a shortage of major programs vying for him.

Ah yes, you are correct Mug. He was 1-3 from 3 the entire season , hence 33.3%. I didn’t look at amount of attempts.

Apparently only fourth Division I freshman in three decades to average at least 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Unfortunately, against Illinois and Texas Tech, the two best teams he encountered, he averaged 4.5 and 6.

Never seen the kid play and recognize the sunbelt is a lower level league and he struggled against the two best teams he faced.  Nonetheless, based on stats and the little I’ve read,  this seems like it would be a really solid get for us.  I defer to those who know far more than me, but I would be very excited if we landed this kid!

Didn’t know where to post this, but is anybody irked by Anderson’s flirtation with Tulsa? Because after listening to Zach yesterday, I’m seething.

Not sure how much, if anything Zach knows, but he speculated that there was real interest on CMA’s part and that the primary reason he didn’t take the job may relate to his buyout.

If that’s true, we’re talking about a coach who, in addition to dramatically underachieving this year, has real questions about his commitment to the program.

Given CMA’s connections to Tulsa, and the disappointing season at SJU, I can’t say I necessarily blame him for exploring the Tulsa opportunity. But as a fan, let alone what a university administrator should think, I have real problems with the university paying a guy more than $2 million dollars who, in addition to underachieving, is flirting with other programs.

What kind of message does that send about our program? What does that portend if CMA actually achieves concrete success here? We should only be so lucky I guess.
There was no interest on CMA’s part. He tried to get Coach Cleveland the job. But CMA definitely did not initiate it. Zach is full of shit. Sorry had to say it.
Zach is upset because his access to the staff has been cut off.
This is the real story.

But CMA has no interest in Tulsa. He loves New York, and SJU will be his last stop.
