Noticed the Sampson thread is locked. I personally didn't have anymore to say, but I always loathe moderators deciding no one else does. It's a message board.

I am not going to be glad whatever happens next year. If we are as bad as it looks so far, going to be pretty hard to get 4 or 5 star kids to come here. Really hurts not getting Sampson to re-commit.

No, just a favorite.

Told this story before but worth repeating. Was the ball boy for the Staten Island Stallions in the USBL when I was a kid. Goodwin was on the team from NJ I believe and he was not really getting any PT. I had the visitors bench and talked his ear off all game about ST John's. He was a really nice guy and told some great stories.

I still have the picture up of me and Ken Animal Bannister from the Stallions days.

Hot Rod Williams was on the team before he went to Summer league with the Cavs. Kevin Williams was the best player in the league averaged 30. Was the opposite of Billy Goodwin in personality though. Guy named Jumping Joe Ward from Georgia was on the team and real fun to watch. Never made the pros.

BTW TV did not do those bumps on The Animal's face justice. WHOA

As polite as I can be I am going to say this once. Just drop it. You don't like it take a break from the site or go post elsewhere.
Your original post was over the top , Moose answered you very nicely and you are still unhappy then just leave.
This is not a democracy , it is a private site with rules , rules to be followed for the better of all of us.
We the moderators are all super busy people who do our very best out of the goodness of our hearts and love of SJU. We don't need pot shots from people like you telling us how to do our jobs. Experience often dictates out actions which is far more often than not correct.
Posting here is a privilege and I don't have the time or inclination to be a babysitter to grown men who curse at kids and criticise the colour of our incomplete staff when spurned by a 17 or 18 year old kid.
Do us all a favor and grow up or take a break until you can play by the rules of this site.

If you don't like the way things are run by volunteers then perhaps you should save your money by not renewing your subscription to Redmen.com.

Oh wait....... this is site is free to read and post on so perhaps you could thank "Paul Massell" (the handle of the generous gentleman who owns the site) for making it available.... Capisce ?

Well, I have obviously ticked off all the moderators. For that, I apologize. I do appreciate the site and recognize your volunteerism.

I also hold the opinion that threads are locked too quickly and too often; and I hope that can be considered as feedback. Of course, I realize my initial delivery only served to offend and negated any chance of consideration.

Totally agree. No offense to the moderators, but it seems as though as soon as someone says something that proves them wrong or they don't agree with, they either remove the post or lock the thread. I think you guys are in the minority with that point of view. some fool brought race into the recruitment of BSamp. and half of the posters just resigned themselves to saying "screw him." The moderators were doing those geniuses a favor if you ask me.
