THIS Season (formerly Next Season)

Out of curiosity, I looked up the ESPN recruiting grade for each of the following players. As a disclaimer, I don't put a lot of credence into these grades. However it is interesting to see how they rank in relation to one another.

Marcus Lovett (80)
Randall Craig (79)
Yankuba Sima (79)
Malik Ellison (77)
Samir Doughty (76)
Tariq Ownes (75) -from 2014
Jay Henderson (67) -from 2014
Sammy Barnes Thompikins (65)
Myles Stewart (63) -from 2014

ESPN recruiting has lost some of their teeth, per se'. Personally, I'd go with Rivals and 247 Sports. The latter even does a national composite of the recruits.

Didn't realize Craig was rated so highly.

In case, you're thinking something else.... That's not his ranking. That's his rating grade.
I know that, but his rating grade is only 1 point less than Lowett. Worth pursuing. Always could use a backup PG.

Paul Bianchardi just called SJU for Diallo 6:35PM he said he spoke to Diallo last night and that he is confused. He went on to say We have new Assistant Head SLICE and when all is said and done he thinks Diallo is St. John's, saying he will announce early next week

I can understand him being confused, as it's a major decision for a youngster. But he may also be confused due to other folks having their own agenda.

Not really a big surprise. With Owens (6'10) and Sima (6'11) the center position was already becoming crowded.

ADR probably saw the handwriting on the wall
Sima next season and Owens the year after
Too bad - ADR definitely has skills
But he failed to lose the weight necessary to play a fast paced game
I wish him the very best of luck

Hope we throw Mullin a bone and schedule a bunch of cup cakes early. Get as many wins as possible under his belt to help recruiting future kids.

We play in Maui Thanksgiving with the likes of Indiana, Kansas, UCLA, etc.

Not much time prior for cupcakes.

Freshman 7-Footer Adonis De La Rosa to Transfer from St. John's (UPDATED)http://zagsblog.com/articles/st-johns-lands-missouri-state-transfer-ron-mvouika/ … @joshua_newman

I expect others to not return for next season.

"Others"? We have more space cleared than we need. The staff should be actively trying to keep everyone left on the roster. Both Jones and Balamou graduate after this season. Amar is a good looking four year player that I'm sure the new staff is happy to inherit. CO and Rysheed are key to the next season. The rest are walkons that will be a big asset in practice and for continuity the next 3-4 years.

Are there games on Thanksgiving day?

I don't know but I know it usually falls in and around Thanksgiving.
Just realized it would really suck if Diallo chose Kansas and we played them out there :)

Jones is a Junior and we have him for two seasons and I hope he transfers. Lavin burned Balamou's redshirt by playing him one game two years ago. He is a Senior and I hope he stays.
