Syracuse Game

Buy a mini plan for MSG get 4 games , Cuse game included, seats in the 100's comes out to 50 bucks a ticket approx. Good deal.
and people might get the honor of sitting in the same section as mjmaherjr,paultzman,kranmars,olv72,weathermannyc ralph and friends.

It makes me wants to change my seats just to be in esteemed presence.

I never understood why season ticket holders aren't given the best available seats. Funny how at both CA and MSG, long time season ticket holders sit in the upper sections, while the lower seats are empty. I would want all my loyal fans to pack it in as close to the court as possible. If they had done that, realfan would still be a fan.

I think the thing is, that the seats are allocated according to the points system. So, those who donate more, or are long term season ticket holders get the better seats. All over college sports it is done this way, so it doesn't do any good to complain.

The system was put in place and one sweep was made. After that its never been updated really.

I hate my current MSG seats (section 108, row 5), but it has more to do with the new Garden setup, then anything St. John's did. It used to be four seats to a row, and you could time your bathroom breaks around the media timeouts. Now, it's about 30 seats to a row in a single section (because I was in seat #30 of a row at the Elton John concert Tuesday night), and the closer you are to the action, the longer it takes to reach the exists. They moved us maybe even a little closer then we were at the old garden, but a big part of me wishes we were moved back about 10 rows or so, and certianly closer to the aisle.

Wrong. it was updated twice at least, possibly three times. I know. I was moved twice. The last change in MSG seating was done because of renovations. The AD is hoping to do a re-seating for next season but its not 100% yet.

I hear you on that. I loved 4 seats to a row in the old garden configuration. Now bathroom breaks suck if you are in the middle of the row All new stadiums (including Citifield) have very long rows (which are generally wide since people are getting heavier. I used to be in 108 row A, but got moved to 109 during the reno. I hate it

Just because you were moved doesnt mean it was across the board. If you ask to move they move. Did you ask to move or were moved by them without discussing it? Because as we know we are not dealing with tons of fans. I've personally never asked to move. I've had 4 seats since 04 or 05 and only asked to move the first year in the new MSG where I was moved closer to center court by 1 section.

Moose, there was an initial reseating years ago when they created a student section at Alumni Hall. It was a miserable failure and those moved from bleachers on one entire side of the court just dropped their tickets.

Then there was a reseating on the other side which moved long term ticket holders out of their seats based on points. many on that side of the court dropped also - this was in the Norm era.

Then there was another reseating when they renovated CA with seat backs.

Then there was a MSG reseating because of the renovation.

That's 4 altogether.

I don't have a good enough memory to recite the dates or times like you have above.

Sorry Beast. I'm gonna have to say those are just band aids over a bullet hole.

Let me put it this way. There is a point system where everyone has a certain amount of points based on various factors. How many times have these points been shown to you? I can recall only see my points ONCE. When the initial system was put in place and it was outlined how it would work. The only time after that was I was able to ask someone I know. There is no transparency in this so called system so at this point now I think its fair to say its just a chicken with its head cut off running around. There are far too many examples of someone getting their seats and not liking their location and then SJU just moving them to appease them.

For example I know of someone this year who has never had seats before, never donated or anything and they are sitting in my row at MSG. No questions asked. There is really no rhyme or reason. If these points were sent each year with ticket invoices then I'd be more incline to agree that there is a real true system in place and its actually operating the way it should. Hope that clears up my initial comment.

I agree that I've only received my point total in writing once or twice. And you are likely correct about the no rhyme or reason. For example, great seats were held out for single ticket tales, with season ticket holder in worse locations. I'll say this over and over again. All in all, SJU is a third rate university in many ways. On the plus side, there are terrific people in the AD which we both know and like.

My brother has had his seats for ten years and added an additional seat this year. Most likely why the move was made.

Anyone in 107?

I have been a season ticket holder since 2003 and only missed 4 home games since that time. Two of them because of Blizzards in NY, but since 2008 I've only missed 1 home game, and that was the win over Pittsburgh in 2011 :pinch: It was my God son's Christening and there was nothing I could do about it. It pains every-time I hear about how great it was... Sitting through so many tough losses to miss the best game of the last 13 years. I will be there next Sunday and if they win, it will be even better than the Pitt game. I Pray to God that they win...

Our section for Lavin's 1st year was awesome.

Which section you in this year ?

Yes the old 116 was my favorite ever and we had such a great season that year. I'm in 110 now and been there for a few years with a good group. What section are you guys in now? Give OLV72 my best.

Also if you hear someone at the beginning of the Cuse game, while all their fans are standing waiting for them to score yelling "Stand up if you think Jim Boeheim is worse than Joe Paterno" - that will be me..

And many, many years ago they reseated all of us who sat in Section3 across the court...

Let's get past Fordham first, but unless either Syracuse or Arizona loses, Cuse will be the #2 team in the country when we play them. They key is stunting their offense, which isn't nearly as potent as years past. We will struggle with their 2-3 like just about everybody does. Keep on CJ Fair like glue and it will give us a shot at betting em. Should be big Orange crowd, but only way to silence them is to beat em.

Unfortunately simply beating them will only silence their crowd after the final buzzer. The only way to silence them is go up early, stay up by at least a dozen all game, and never let them back in. If that unlikely event doesn't happen, expect their home advantage crowd to be loud as long as its a game.

Well when was the last time they beat Syracuse? Every year it`s the same damn thing, and getting sick of saying wtf did I spend money to watch this crap. Go to MSG every time again them, and I`m saying "oh yeah this could be the year that we upset them" but it never is. Then this year before the season I was all excited expecting big things, but don`t look better then last year to me so far. So yeah I am down on them. It`s a new month and hopefully can put the teams that should be taking care of by halftime away.

What year was that G-Town - SJU OT game at MSG? It was the early or mid 80s. The early game was NYU against some catholic school from D.C. My cousin played for the little catholic school in DC, and said that it was the only game he ever started. He got the MVP too, it was amazing watching my cousin play at MSG.

Back to my main point about the SJU G-Town game. St. John`s fan had MSG on lock. I would love for those day to be back and I want to be apart of it. I just can`t bare to lose to these SOB`s anymore, and hearing their f`ing fans it truly eats me up inside.
My face literally shakes from being so pissed.
