I recall someone saying that for certain we are getting a new logo. I'm curious why it hasn't come out already. Maybe they reveal it at the same time we officially switch to UA? I really hope they don't botch this and finally give fans what they want.

Take it easy. You want everything right now this very second. There are people who do this stuff for a living that will launch it the right way in due time.

I don't think any of us know for sure. The school hired consultants to look into an entire-school wide rebranding. Obviously any new marks would be closely tied to new branding in the athletic department. But I don't think any of us know for sure.
The rumors I remember are that they are considering "Johnnies" instead of " Red Storm", considering using a little blue in the uniforms, and getting rid of Johnnie Thunderbird. But that's just what's been reported on here. Don't know if any decisions have been made.

Also, why do you keep changing names man? People might b&w but nobody is coming after you with a pitchfork. Be yourself Joe.

So does SJU have a say in what UA will do with the uniforms? I am not a traditionalist when it comes to the uniforms but I cringe when I think of anyone actually OKing the Cincy/UND uniforms from Adidias.

Media have been calling us the Johnnies for decades. It has never been adopted as the official nickname but it is part of who we are. The official nickname will always have some "red" in it so do not worry as you will not have to change your handle.
Knowing we need to keep it red, Steve Lavin suggested the SJ Redwoods. Being a west coast guy, he was reminded there's no redwood within 3,000 miles. Being a movie fan, he then suggested the Red Dawn but was reminded it was an apocalyptic name.
Being a fan of spicy food, I think the Red Devils would be cool but a priest friend suggested some fans would be conflicted with Saint and Devil associated with our name.
I also like the TV show "The Mentalist" and thought his nemesis Red John could be a possibility. There is a John, he is red and he is mean. Any takers before the booze wears off?

Yes they do.
Those hideous Adidas uniforms were pitched to lots of schools. I know Indiana squashed the idea.

STJ is in good hands. With an STJ alum high up the chain at UA they will be well taken care of.

DePaul is catholic school and called the Blue Demons. Red Devils or something like it shouldn't be that big of a deal IMO.

How about dropping the "Red" from Red Storm and just going with a simpler St John's Storm??? Sounds cooler. Nobody asking what a "Red Storm" is... Etc.
