WashU (D3) grad-transfer Jack Nolan (@jnols22) has heard from Iowa, Oregon State, Stanford, Lipscomb, Drexel, Tennessee State, SIUE, New Hampshire, and Drake so far.

Stony Brook has offered.

Nolan has now also heard from Illinois, St. John’s, Furman, Hartford, Radford, Denver, Eastern Illinois, among others.

He has picked up a handful of mid-major offers so far.

@jakelieberman2
Is this what you meant by not putting all our eggs in one basket?

Of course not

Are we still interested in Bayron Matos?

Reminder that New Mexico transfer Bayron Matos will be announcing his commitment tomorrow at 5PM EST. Tulsa, Seton Hall, USF, St John's, Tennessee State, Wazzu, ETSU, OK State, + others have offered. He averaged 6 PPG and 4.1 RPG as a freshman this season.

No. Done with forwards/centers. Focus is strictly guards.

Based on Paultz avatar Alvarado coming our way.   Champ spot must stay open for his possible return.  Is that it for scholies or am I missing something?

Jose would make it 12th...1 more left

Champ's scholarship is currently occupied by Champ. Until he's offically gone it doesn't have to even be mentioned when calculating open scholarship totals.

We have 2 left.  If we fill one with a guard that is projected to garner substantial minutes, my guess is we leave the other one open/stashed away absent some really really enticing exception.

Heard rumblings this would happen weeks ago and people were saying we would be in the mix. Don’t know where we stand now but probably a very tough get.
The original rumor was both Alvarado and Cisse would take their time entering portal, half of that prediction is in with hopefully one to go.

I’d be shocked if SJ is in play with Cisse, budget buster I would think.

I imagine if Antigua stays at Illinois they will be making an offer to Cisse.
I get that the buzz is that we got our big in Soriano and we aren't adding another - however, at least on paper (as I am not an insider and have no idea what is going on), I don't see why Cisse couldn't play alongside Soriano and have Julian start at the 3.

I’m not one for turning away talent and I’m sure there are situations where those 3 would work. But you’re not gonna pressure the ball full court with Soriano and Cisse as your front court plus Champ trying to guard quicker players than he’s used to, let alone in the press.

Soriano is also 100 percent cheaper.

TCU transfer Taryn Todd has heard from St.Johns, Butler, Arkansas, Boston College, New Mexico, BYU
Cal-Berkley, Fresno State, Wyoming
Vermont, Indiana State, Drake, Fordham,Northeastern, and Hofstra since entering the transfer portal source tells @247Sports. @txryntxdd_

For whatever it is worth he grew up not too far from Stef Smith which can only be a plus in our favour. From proximity to family, if that counts at all, Butler and SJU are the closest schools to home. Kid has real good size and solid numbers as a freshman would certainly be interesting.

Good size for a combo guard. If Alvarado doesn't pan out this might be a good option.
