Dream starting line up next season. Posh, Williams, Champaigne Twins, Igheon... Will never happen, but will be extremely happy if we can get Aidan.
Williams is way too inconsistent to be in my “dream lineup”.  I think Pinzon will earn a bit of time over him and I’d still like to see us land a scoring guard like Tyson or Blocker.  We need more firepower.  Williams will get his minutes but he needs to learn to play balls-to-the-wall.

—- Not only is he inconsistent, but he is injury prone.

He is inconsistent because he is injury prone (back issues). I like  him to start, until he proves he can't, but agree another guard is needed. Hope Pinzon is good as people are projecting him to be. If he better than Williams as a freshman, it will be surprising, at least to me.

Pinzon could be fantastic and still rightfully be behind Williams. The more aggressive Greg gets the better but even still hes goin to be up there with the better off guards in the league next year. He was playing alongside 2 ball dominant guards and a 20pt scorer for much of games, as much as we clamor for aggressiveness, his efficiency kinda gets overlooked.

he’s efficient for sure and I’m not trying to knock him, but as a 9.5 PF scorer he is not going to be one of the better off guards in the league.  He has to near-double his  scoring production to do that.  I like Greg a lot and am still waiting for him to become a go-to guy.  I hope he does so in his final year but right not I don’t trust it. I still think we need help at the position to add more scoring punch to this roster.

Solid numbers plus a Senior that's a great combination on a team. We don't need Greg to be a star we have Julian and Posh for that we just need his steady play and hopefully staying healthy

I disagree.  The better teams don’t just have a PG and one good forward.  We are playing against the Villanova’s who come with a minimum of 5 guys who are high-level and can get it done.  We need more than just 2 very good players.  Love Greg, but he’s been inconsistent and also with injuries.  We need a SG and/or SF that can also take over a game a bit and hang some real numbers.  We outed in the first round of the BET. IMO we were better this year but need a bit more to be taking the next step.

I sort of feel the same way about Greg Williams as I did about Justin Simon (I know Simon was a better defender, Williams a better shooter) Huge fan of both who clearly had the athletic ability of star players and were glue type guys for us. They clearly make us better when on the court but each has 1 or 2 issues that keep them from fully stepping into that star role. For Simon, it was his shooting ability (distance and FT's) and for Williams it's health and perhaps confidence/aggression on offense. I only say perhaps because a lingering back injury is the type of thing that would limit someone regardless of mental state so it was tough to tell.

Edited to add...I've always felt that Justin Simon with an above average jump shot would have been an NBA lottery pick. On the other hand Justin Simon with better shooting would have never passed through St. John's at that time either.

Greg Williams is efficient as 'Mase stated but his lack of aggression and consistency (it could be related to his back issues) gives me pause.  Give me the kid from Northeastern and another player who can consistently place the ball in the hoop, and we might be cooking with fish grease.

Some numbers for perspective. Some might disagree but I’d say Justin Moore is best off guard coming back next year. Here’s his per 40 numbers.

Moore:
15.5 pts 5.1 rbs 3.6 asts 1.4 stls .5 blks 43.8 fg 31.5 3fg

Williams:
15.4 pts 3.4 rebs 3.4 asts 2.1 stls .9 blks 46.3 gf 44.8 3fg

And for Greg it’s so much more than the numbers IMO.

Does this mercifully finally end the JUCO experiment?  With rare exception, they never work out and there is frequently baggage.  Much better off searching for underrated HS kids like Wusu and Cellus.
