Seattle U transfer Darrion Trammell (@dtrammell__) tells me that he has heard from the following: USC, Georgetown, Colorado, Iowa State, Oregon State, Washington State, St. John's, +.

Averaged 20.5 PPG this season.

per Jake Lieberman

A second ball handler.

Unless SJU staff has a connection to this kid I can't see him leaving the West.

5.3 assists and 2 spg too. I'm buying my ferry ticket to Sausalito as we speak to do some pre-recruiting./media/kunena/emoticons/grin.png

Staff pursued this one, but

“Old Dominion transfer Malik Curry has committed to West Virginia, per his AAU coach James Johns.”

Ewing could be a problem with Soriano, especially given the departure of Wahab.

The kid is certainly getting interest from some strong programs.

They already have a pretty good Ryan Mutombo coming in at center.

Good point, a 4*., with some heft as well. Hopefully, Staff has a compelling spin that convinces Joel.

While I realize the quantity of departures at SJ might be a red flag, losing Wahab will give any big considering GT a reason to pause.

Sense SJU could try to get involved with Siena transfer and best player combo guard Jalen Pickett

Confirmed there is interest not sure if it is mutual yet.

Since I am a glass half empty kind of guy, my take away from this news is that GWill is highly unlikely to return.

Interesting point, but was that a 'program issue' or Wahab getting a 'grass-is-greener impulse and going with it?   I don't know the answer. Just asking.

I hope not, but you may be right, Boo. Just wondering if your glass has a leak in it and that's why it's always half-empty? /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png

Since I'm a glass half full guy, I'll be very happy if we get either one!

You could be right but, until Greg confirms either way, the staff would have to pursue his replacement.  If there remains consideration on both sides,  I imagine Greg and the staff have agreed upon check-in intervals and a final deadline.

Surprised we haven’t seen more chatter about Desi Sills and CMA.
Desi's recruitment since announcing has been very quiet (as far as schools he's looking at).  Only thing I've heard on the Arkansas end is he's possibly looking at Auburn.  I will say I wouldn't be surprised if CMA was involved, they usually play things quiet.

Nothing has been decided re Greg and of course staff has to be vigilant looking at other players.

I like Greg and never wanted him to enter the portal. That said, if you are the staff, can you ever really trust a kid who entered portal and decided to come back? How do you know he won't change his mind again in August? If my job depended on winning games, I would be tempted to take another kid if he wanted in, even if he wasn't a huge upgrade over GW.

By all accounts, Greg is a good kid with a good family.  If he had a sit down with CMA and assured CMA he was staying, I assume that would be good enough.  In today’s climate, there are no guarantees with any player.

One would think since CMA and Greg’s father have a positive relationship + they are mature adults, that conversations have been ongoing. Why would they not be speaking as this is an
important decision for son/team member/player.
