SJU Transfer Targets/Possibilities

I just need to clear my head from all the exit reactions and express my hope that an aggressive, overachieving guard like Jose Alvarado opts for portal and considers playing his last year at home. To add to my fantasy island existence, he and Posh would be tremendous warriors together & with Julian get us to the Dance. Not suggesting anything, simply in a “what if” mood.

You guys know anything about this kid?  He just entered the portal.

Awfully small but talented and tenacious backcourt. Alvarado far more athletic then he looks. I remember standing next to him during practice at CTK when he was either a freshman or sophomore. He was about my height(5'10"). He then walked over to the basket, and from a standing position easily dunked the ball. I was blown away. Would take him in a heartbeat, but don't see it happening. OTOH lots of stuff has gone on that I didn't see happening, so there ya go.

“He went to Putnam Science for a post grad year but played at Francis Lewis prior to that. 3-point numbers are very good which jibes with the kid I knew in HS. His recruitment seems repetitive with Stef Smith, but Jaheem may be able to play a little point in addition to SG.”

Gurley would be great.  Could be a starting wing next to Champs.  Allows us to bring Pinzon along slowly at SG/SF.  Would work nice rotation with Wheeler as well.
