CMA recruited him to Arkansas & a junk yard dog type

Man this one hurts as an Arkansas fan, but if CMA picks him up it won't hurt as bad.

Outside of Posh, Desi is probably the most tailor made player for CMA's system I've seen in the past 10 years.  His motor is relentless, he only knows one speed that's 100%.  He gets after you on the defensive end and he attacks the rim like there's no tomorrow.  This would be an absolute huge pick-up if there's mutual interest.  Only thing I wonder is if Desi is willing to locate so far away, he's an Arkansas kid through and through, I don't even think he looked at many other teams in his recruitment, he grew up a Razorback fan, he has pictures of him not older than 7 or 8 at Razorback camps, so it's very shocking that he's transferring. When others were transferring out when CMA first left I remember him putting out a tweet saying he's all Arkansas.

This transfer shows one of the downsides of Muss, I've been upset with the way he's treated Arkansas kids that committed to Arkansas that we needed to keep in-state from our rivals. He ran out long time commit Justice Hill, other Arkansas kids he's made big promises to, he just sat them on bench and gave them no playing time, and with Desi, he was the team leader and heart and soul of the team and he was just play him sparingly and didn't really have a set role for him.  Now, you can't argue results with his "Free Agency" philosophy and his preference to play grad transfers over underclassmen, it worked this year and got an elite 8, but I think in the long run I don't see many Arkansas kids, unless they are one and done like Moody, sticking around.

I would be so so happy to get Desi, it would be a dream come true..I just don't think its a fit as he is a clone body and play of Posh and Stef.

I don't know anything really about the Vermont kid.

But I know this: You can never have too many Posh Alexanders.

Here are some highlights of him lighting up Auburn this year:

Desi would be a starter here Day 1 without a doubt, he's a better player than Stef Smith and Greg Williams, he would be the 3rd best player on St. John's.  And I say this as someone who seen all Williams games and all of Desi's games. His stats were down because of the way he was used this year.  Muss literally only played 5 guys consistently everybody else was just mixed and matched around depending on match-ups.  I felt bad for him having to deal with that, many Hog fans are in shock right now, him and Devo would have probably been one of the best back courts in the SEC next year.

I’d be all in for Desi Sills if he wanted to come here.  He have 2 years eligibility or 1?  He’d still get plenty of time here as we play at least 10 guys consistently.

Also don’t know if it was mentioned but we have at least reached out to Richmond according to zags

Billy I love your enthusiasm, but you may lead the sjubb nation in giving out bad info, you were telling everybody yesterday a 2022 recruit was in the transfer portal and would be available for next year and now today you've been telling everybody Desi Sills is a Posh Alexander clone.  Desi is a SG and about 2 inches taller than Posh, he played SG for CMA at Arkansas and he got most of his minutes at SG at Arkansas this year, he's more of a combo guard, Posh is a pure PG.  What he and Posh have in common is they both give you 100% effort and play hard on both ends and both get after you defensively.  Just because two guys play hard don't mean they are clones lol.  And I have no idea where the Stef Smith comparison is coming from, did you watch many Vermont games?  I know I didn't.

Hey Making Plays

in your opinion would StJohn’s have any chance with Desi Sills ?

Making Plays. Just asking can he take the minutes that Dunn played as a backup PG as well as play off the ball. Based on what I've seen of him I'd say yes but you've seen him more and therefore have a more complete answer. Thanks

And with GW entering the transfer portal there's more playing time for you here.

Our staff definitely looking for another guard-type.  This kid seems nasty and fits right in with what CMA wants.  We could play a ton of small-ball with talent all over.

Making Plays, he looks exactly like Posh style player in that video. Didn’t see him attempt anything but layups and is a ball hawk! Two of them together would be awesome, with hopefully Smith a very good shooter!
