Igiehon is low risk, high reward. Worst case scenario he's a limited player who is stronger and bigger than more recent limited players we've had. He's certainly not skinny.

Best case scenario, they tap into his potential and get a monster who was once thought of as a top guy. He was also a local name who area kids are still familiar with. A guy going to a big name school, having a rough couple of seasons and then being a successful reclamation project back home at St John's can only further help local recruiting. He's a recent enough name that I think current local recruits would take note that Anderson continues to get the best out of players.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

+ coached by a guy in Mack who has had real success developing bigs. Even if he didn’t thrive under him I’m sure he still taught him some things.

Siena’s Manny Camper will graduate and transfer from the program, a source told @Stockrisers. Averaged 14.1 points and 9.7 rebounds per game and MAAC player of the year from this season.

guess he wasn't a happy camper at Sienna
I feel like guys we wanted to transfer in last season from a low or mid-major took major dumps stats-wise by moving up to power conferences. Grass definitely isn't always greener, unless better facilities and groupies are a major consideration.

Tre Mitchel from Umass would be a nice pickup if Aiden doesn't come home.  Tre averaged 19 points and 7 rebounds for the Minutmen.    I saw an article that implies Tre is likely testing the waters.  Seems worth chasing a little.

Completely agree. Justin Simon did almost nothing at Arizona and was a very good player for us. Only difference was he sat out a year. He can definitely be a solid rebounder and with hard work even better.

Before anyone panics, this is simply the list of names that sources had. I'm willing to bet my life that we will be reaching out to big men. Actually, maybe I'll bet all of your lives instead. But I like some of you, so I wouldn't make that bet without being confident.

I’m going to guess that we will emerge as a leader for Igheon at some point soon.  No inside info, just a guess as he’s a good fit, we were a finalist for him, he’s got family here and Iron Mike has shown his chops in the Big East a bit as a COY.

For the few who are worried about Aidan Igiehon's low production so far in college, remember CMA's offense doesn't have a large emphasis in playing the ball into the post on offense. We need a big body mainly for defense to stop the average big man from having a double double every game against us. If he can provide solid defense and rebounding, any offense is just gravy.

Disagree.  Not having someone who can post, draw a double, pass out of it hurt us IMO. Made us much easier to defend.  playing 4 vs 5 on offense w Toro/Roberts wasn't good

Obviously have to see where he's at but I think it is a really poor comparison to compare a guy like this (highly recruited great body) with Toro or Josh.

One thing that we'll miss from Moore is his great hands. He had little to no inside game, but he caught almost every bullet pass to him and flushed it with ease.

I'm less worried about a complete offensive game from whoever replaces him if it's Aidan or someone else. But we need someone who can catch and finish on the level of Moore.

We were the highest scoring team in the big East this season. Offense isn’t the problem.

Penn State transfer Myreon Jones tells @Stockrisers he’s heard from Nebraska, Ole Miss, Georgia, Texas A&M, Stanford, Alabama, Houston, Maryland, Auburn, USC, LSU, TCU, Arkansas, St. John’s, NC State, SCAR, Detroit, and UCF.

Averaged 15.3 points on 39.7% shooting this year.

fwiw, he is a buddy of Pinzon

It’s not our biggest problem and when shots were falling there were times we looked unbelievable on offense. But I think Moore’s easy baskets will be greatly missed if not replaced with someone else. Close to double digits on close to 66% shooting in conference play. I can't remember a big we've had last 10+ years who had as many paint finishes as Moore.

We played at the 15th highest pace in the country. The fact that we were the highest scoring team in the BE means nothing. We clearly need more shooting and inside scoring.
