@Seton Hall, Sun. Jan. 22, 12 Noon, FS1/570AM

Just started checking the board after only catching part of the 2nd half. Not surprised at seeing the usual gripes on the board. The simple truth continues to be that we need better, and bigger players. Looking at what is coming next year, and who we are pursuing in 2018, I don't see this problem being addressed. We have one skinny and raw kid signed for 2018, a 6'8 transfer next season, and only 2 other bigs targeted for 2018, one of whom is a reach, and the other who knows. Right now, the chance of a NCAA bid by year 4 rests on a ton of ifs, which is not what some expected by year 4.

This post is right on the mark!

Except for the 6'8 transfer, Clarke is at best 6'6.

On the bright side Mullin is wearing much better ties ever since I mentioned it a few games ago. Going to more power ties.

Gotta find something nice to say today other than at least it seems like our guys didnt quit in the 2nd half by looking at the box score

A blue tie?
Way back when grades 1 to 4 wore red ties grades 5 to 8 wore blue ties
blue is my favorite color and I have a virtually identical tie to the one he wore today. Actually have another one that is very close. Maybe the color doesn't go so well with the shirt he was wearing but I'm a fan of the type of tie he was wearing today

Do you wear 'em while you're eating lobster rolls? :)

Not surprised by this loss. Remember what Patton/Creighton did too us? Delgado is a matchup nightmare. Wasn't looking forward too this game cause of the matchup and they just came off a humiliating blow out lose (3 in Row).

Was surprised about the lack of team basketball. Mullin is quoted as calling them "selfish & soft" how true.

Not looking forward too Marquette game either. FIsher and that other big is gonna destroy us.

Looks like he shrunk, along with our chances.

And 6'8" is probably being generous re: Clark.

Trajectory not where it needs to be

Surprised somebody did not complain about him wearing a blue tie today.

i had the johnnies, Packers , and Steelers today.....thank god the market is closed. I hate all 3 teams today!!!

Through 30 minutes of the game today Delgado had 17 boards.

Through BE play including todays game Yakwe has 16 boards.

That's our starting center

So you're saying they are about even.

my analysis of this team thus far:
1- Some very talented guards
2- Team plays schoolyard ball
3- Team plays with no heart most of the game
4- Relies of jump-shot and not high % shots
5- Players have not progressed
6- Coaching seems inconsistent and unprepared
7- Owens shows potential
8- fans are very very frustrated

I was thinking the same thing. Wouldn't put my money on Moses coming here. Maybe the staff can do what they did w Simon and Clark. Get a talented Center on a good team who. wants PT . Matt is good w the transfer game. I don't know if this was mentioned but on JJ. ,shows an ominous Twitter post from Ponds saying he is unhappy, people turned on him and believe in God.

I may be in minority, but I believe programs that prohibit players' social media posting during the season are wise. These young guys in a down state often post things they regret soon after.

Very talented guards yes in High school but turning out just talented in Big east 2 very talented guards would be carry a team and not having the inconsistent games. There size seems to be hurting both Talent drops a lot after our guards Some not all has to be the coaching . KAWKE has been a bust ''Bashir can score but staff has not controlled his game and he should practice 500 fouls shots a day. They have to figure our to get the guards and Mussini open shots by moving the ball faster and setting basic picks and rolls But guess if our inside game was stronger things would come together. What worries me is if we continue to due poor it is going to effect our ability to recuit top talent

Thanks Mr. P
It's like when one of your kids says something negative/nasty/hopeless = it hurts but the kid doesn't necessarily mean it

There was a time
when prior SJU stars
were unhappy here in their early years to wit:
Mark Jackson
Jayson Williams
And likely others who complained but remained
