This is the final year we have where he can have a loaded roster with experience and depth and finally prove he can make us a tourney team. We don't have any real major players coming in so far next year and we lose a ton after this season, so if he doesn't make the tourney I wouldn't be shocked if he resigned. We should do very well in OOC, the real question will be can we do well in conference.
Who said he is running out of time ? Has our non existent AD said that ? Has the school president said that ? Not to my knowledge. Only you keep repeating that.
As for us loosing a ton this season, possibly, but we only have 1 senior so it is very possible everyone but Clark returns and we add Wright and David C and Heron, who may not be cleared for this season. So on paper we are adding far more than we are guaranteed to lose.
As for Mullin resigning after this season I would be shocked if that occurs as I expect continued improvement, though how much remains to be seen.
Please stop posting and repeating the same crap and go take some anti anxiety medication.
Mike makes some great points here.
First 3 years 12-42 in conference - improvement is needed here.
As far as next year's roster:
Clark graduates
Ponds has stated numerous times he is leaving
Heron - if has monster year he can leave
Simon- will he pull an Owens and go somewhere else for his last year.
These 4 are big core of the team.
I think should stop picking on Mike it is an accurate post.
I think you missed RMNorth's point. While I agree with Mike that the roster past this season is up in the air the main point was that no one who matters has set a timeline on Mullin so he isn't running out of time. And any allusion to an imminent resignation is pretty far fetched as well, more like wishful thinking on the OP's part. Since those two points keep popping up in Mike's post and are based purely on his own speculation they are worthless statements that frustrate rational posters, supporters and critics alike.
Very amusing when people assume that coaches and top staff will say what/how they really mean/feel and tell reporters what is on their mind honestly. If the coach or administrator doesn't say it, then it can't even be a possibility! That's a silly sentiment. I'm very much looking forward to the season, but no one can deny the lack of effort and dedication of Mullin relative to other coaches and how frustrating it is. It's like being at Hooters with a buddy and he swears the blonde bombshell waitress is into him, but you laugh and tell him she's not really into him she just wants a tip. Sometimes they are just not that into you even when you think they are. It would be a lot harder to make that case if he was all over the place doing tons of in-home visits, events, fan engagement, etc. I hope Mullin leads us to a tourney berth and everyone can get back on board again instead of having our 2 factions. As I said, maybe a tourney berth and a great year rejuvenates Mullin and we see a renewed effort and passion for the job after tasting some real success. Let's hope.
