Rysheed Jordan

Mr Jordan put on quite the show today in the state championship. Not sure what his exact stats were, but definitely finished with 30+pts. The team he played did not have a starter over 6'2, but he was still impressive nonetheless. He didn't show much of an outside game, but he didn't really have to. We need this kid, and would love nothing more than to see him wearing our uniform next year.

The best thing I loved about him....while the rest of his team was on the court celebrating their victory with each other, he was the very first person to go over and shake the other team's hand. Showed a real high level of class and maturity!!

Was Chiles there?

I don't know if he was there or not. I was with the team that Jordan was playing, and couldn't see around the arena all that well......I looked a little, but I would have had no idea where he would have been sitting, so I dont know.

I just do not feel good about landing this kid, Temple star point is a senior. Seems like Jordan may have a better opportunity there. I hope I am wrong!

Was Chiles there?

Didn't one of today's papers say Coach Lavin was there recently watching?

It's temple! Concentrate on 14

Based on?

Nothing.

When or if Jordan chooses the Owls, then it'll be 'I told you so.' When, in fact, it was actually just a guess based on getting antsy and frustrated.

I'm not as confident in landing Jordan, as I was at one point. But I know we're still in it, and there isn't any reason to think it's a done deal til the day he announces.

Yep.

Supposedly, Chiles was there last night (although, that has yet to be confirmed).

Temple winning doesn't help us out. The biggest factor in our favor may be that Temple has already landed a good PG this class in Josh Brown. Temple also brings back its starting soph PG, Cummings, but it loses three starters and 4/5 leading scorers (between 6'4 and 6'9) including 6'4 SG Khalif Wyatt who averaged 20 ppg. In additon to Cummings, Temple returns the highly regarded Quinton Decosey at guard and Daniel Dingle at the three. There is a lot of congestion 1-3 at Temple and minutes might not be too easy to come by for a few years. It's never easy to unseat a junior PG as a freshman combo. He won't have that problem at STJ, because we don't have a point guard!

As A lot of you may know, Vaux brought home the state championship yesterday. Jordan had 30 and boasted about the win on twitter. Someone tweeted at Jordan saying "bringing a championship to St. John's next year?" And he retweeted it. It probably means nothing but for those of you who think his recruitment is over and done with know that he wouldn't of retweeted that if he wasn't thinking about it still.

I would love to have Jordan but everything is pointing to temple!! Our only saving grace is the same was happening with sampson and obekpa!!

What's pointing to Temple and what is your assessment based on? I honestly think you're just guessing.

Alot of reading between the lines of
Many of the experts plus some friends at the collegiant level! They were dead on with us going back after wood, Borgault getting cleared.... Amongst others

We should move on.

Philly is way too close to Queens to "move on." It's not like airfare seeing him is breaking the budget. Stay on him until the bitter end.

And we know that Lavin would have moved on if Jordan let him know we were out. Even with Kyle, Lavin backed off a couple of weeks before he announced. If we're still pursuing, it is because we still have a shot.
