Rysheed Jordan

Very telling. The pride that he has for Philly.

Going to take a whole lot to pry him away from there.

It's not gonna take as much, as you assume. Time will tell.

Your thoughts on Rysheed attending the past 2 Temple home games?

Can't speak for MJD but I imagine they'd be the same as Jay Wright's as Corey Fisher attended almost every STJ home game for a year or two. Hoops kids like to go to basketball games. Doesn't mean he won't go to Temple but doesn't mean he will. My feelings are it doesn't really mean anything.

If Rysheed was so intent on going to Temple, why hasn't he committed yet?
The longer his recruitment goes, the more I like our chances

If Rysheed was so intent on going anywhere, why hasn't he committed yet?
The longer his recruitment goes, the more I think it's taking a long time. ;)

I generally agree with you but there are kids that simply like the attention and the process which all ends once you announce your commitment. Not saying this kid is one of those but its been known to happen.

From what I had been following, Rysheed was set to commit back in November and his coach talked him out of it and told him to take more time. (I'm not going to go digging for the article right now).

I agree with your assessment though.

@TheRecruitScoop: 2013 Vaux (PA) guard Rysheed Jordan has been to a number of Temple games recently, including tonight.

Too bad he wasn't at tonight's UConn game.

He lives in Philly, so why not take in Temple games. Corey Fisher and a couple of others (their names escape me at the moment) use to frequently attend St. John's games. I also believe Kyle Anderson use to attend Seton Hall games, as well, if I'm not mistaken.

Rysheed really is imperative at this point in time. I know everyone is saying our coaching staff is focusing on the 2014 and 2015 classes, but to only focus on 2 targets and then subsequently lose out on both of them just does not look good.

Plus, we don't know who is going to stay here next year and who will leave. So adding a great talent like Rysheed is huge.

I think we can all agree that our needs are a PG and a true C. This would be a great get, havent heard much as of late so not sure if we have backed off, but walking down the street to a temple game i do not find to be indicative.

Telep says UCLA
Biancardi says us
Rankin says us
Finkelstein says Temple (I think he once said STJ so thats a change of heart)
Stovall says Temple
LaPlante says Temple

Since I can't post the whole thing where they list strenghts, weaknesses, and projections at next level I will post the Decision factors for each.

Dave Telep-
Decision factors: This one is all over the map, literally. Typically, the home team gets stronger in these situations and that's Temple, but the Owls haven't been able to flex. St. John's is burrowed in there pretty good, but UCLA may be able to offer that starting spot at a high-profile place.

Prediction: UCLA

Paul Biancardi-
Decision factors: Distance from home will play a factor in his decision. Will he stay in his back yard and play at Temple, remain in the Northeast and attend St. John's or pack his bags and go West to UCLA?

Prediction: St. John's

Reggie Rankin-
Decision factors: Jordan has three distinct choices. Does he want to stay close to his immediate family and friends and attend Temple? Does he want some distance but still be close enough to get home easily if he picks St. John's? Or does he want to make the trip across the country for a fresh start at UCLA like another Philly guard back in the 1980s named Jerome "Pooh" Richardson?

Prediction: St. John's

Adam Finkelstein-
Decision factors: The longer this goes, the more likely he may be to stay close to home. Ultimately he'll weigh Temple against St. John's and UCLA.

Prediction: Temple

John Stovall-
Decision factors: Jordan will weigh close to home versus BCS-level national program.

Prediction: Temple

Mike LaPlante-

Decision factors: Will he opt to be UCLA's point guard of the future, will being a hometown star at Temple be what excites him or will the bright lights in the Big Apple be his calling at St. John's?

Prediction: Temple

I don't agree with Finkelstein's DF.. the longer this goes I think favors the away schools: SJU and UCLA. He seems to be at Temple all the time. Why not committ unless you haven't truly decided?
