Rick’s Targets

We have plenty of time to go and don’t need to rush with these 5 ships. Need to land quality. It will come in time and next year can get back to recruiting HS kids who are mostly off the board at this point.

Some folks show about as much patience as a four month old baby wailing at the top of their lungs awaiting a bottle. A new coach should be afforded an x-amount time when he arrives. Even more so for someone with Pitino's pedigree.

Lastly, how can recruitment be a disappointment (not directed at you '79) when the team has yet to play a game and the roster is in flux? I'd hate to be in a "fight or flight" situation with a few folks on here.
Dink, my impatience doesn’t stem from any displeasure with regard to how Coach Pitino has handled things or from a displeasure with the players he’s brought in so far. Although , I did think he would be able to lure in one or two high level players right off the bat just off his name and past accomplishments. That being said, my impatience stems more anticipation than anything else. I can’t wait to see our final roster and begin rooting for this team.

So we’ve had a quiet week or two
Chinese proverb:
Not every day can be a feast of lanterns.

Thank you to MHD who alludes to that “P”word as did:
Benjamin Franklin - 1706-1790
“He that can have patience can have what he will”.

One day under Rick Pitino we’ll have a winning and tournament team with talented, hard working and fun-to-watch kids!

This is how Pitino separates the wheat from the chaff.
Guys more interested in the money than team and coaching are not going to influence or improve "culture".
What's the difference between what these players(I'm not using the word "kids" any more) are doing and what NBA players do? It's almost always about the money. Doesn't mean someone isn't a quality person who won't be a good addition to a team.
Don't hate the players, I hate the game.

well with NIL now I dont see how that's going to be feasible

As much as I love St Johns in this day of legal paying I'd tell my relatives to go for the money if they weren't going to school for umm school
