oh yea hes awesome. I dont doubt that dingle being a game changer was a legit expectation coming into this year. Just hasn't panned out that way.
When you make a statement like that emphatically, be prepared to eat crow when it don't happen. I've done that a few times over the years, most recent in relation to Mr. Wheeler.

I know he is well respected and has given allot of good information. Banned? I just got here. Are you looking for an argument? .I didn’t come on here to argue with anyone but to discuss Johnny hoops. I didn’t think that arguments were tolerated here unless it’s a basketball disagreement. I met some pretty nice guys on here so far, hopefully that continues.
You sure spell "a lot" in the same manner (allot) as your banned "counterpart."

From his Penn stats it was clear he was a high volume shooter . One game he was 9-25 and throughout that year , rarely had a game where he didn’t put it up in mid to high double figures .

In other words he short the ball a lot to get to that high scoring average . Not a particular high percentage shots made either .

Penn wasn’t an especially good team either in the Ivy .
Still had higher FG % than Jenkins did in the less competitive MAAC.

I’ve always spelled things incorrectly but that has nothing to do with the posts above. If your goal is to start an argument for some reason, that I have not figured out, good luck with that as I won’t engage. I’m here to talk Johnny hoops. You seem like an angry guy, go find someone else to get angry at, I’ll just block you.

Can't imagine that Glen Taylor will be back next year. He's gone from being a nice glue guy during first part of the season to being glued to the bench last several games. Too bad imho as he is a very solid defender who just needs to be more confident offensively.
Especially since with more minutes elsewhere he will be better positioned for overseas opportunities imo. Really enjoy his hustle

I remember Kadary Richmond was killing us at the start of first Hall game. Taylor came in and did a nice job shutting him down although didn't prevent other guys from killing us.

I find the whole Glen Taylor situation bizarre. Wasn’t he on some sort of national watch list for small forwards early on in the season? He started the season out as our lockdown defender against the other teams best scorer. Would usually hit a few threes in big moments and worked his butt off defensively. Now he doesn’t even look to shoot, drive etc. Just bizarre but then again, this whole season has been bizarre with this team.

Everyone is afraid to shoot or make a meaningful dribble or pass but Jenkins and Luis. Even Soriano now. They’ve all been beaten into submission.

These guys don’t like each other. It goes way beyond a lack of chemistry.
I feel like this whole season comes down to Alleyne being afraid to take a 7 foot jumper in the lane against Marquette

That’s not his game. He’s a career low 2 point guy. Nobody delivers him the ball. It’s hard to be upset with a guy passing on taking a low % shot.

I think he is well positioned for next year. Glover is super talented but will need time to learn the defense. Taylor is the main returning defensive threat at the 2 and the 3 for us by a mile.

Pitino also excels at skill development and he needs to learn to finish, Eurostep, and jump stop or pull up.

If you’re Pitino you have to keep him for continuity. I think you guys are not seeing his value.

St. John’s is in a tailspin. There seems to be no stopping it. This is a solo podcast, with no substance no recap and just a stream of frustrated and exasperated thoughts. Unfortunately this is where we’re at. I’m sorry it’s depressing.

Hope Rick does keep him to be clear and defines his role clearly enough to keep him. Your Glover point is very valid.

Great podcast Dave. You didn’t sugarcoat anything and said then things that needed to be said. You hit on something that has been my biggest concern throughout the season….. not only a ever changing line up but when kids go form starting to not seeing the court, how are they ever going to gain a sense of confidence? No one plays well all of the time but there has to be some degree of consistency in play time if you are going to get the most out of players. Hopefully when Rick upgrades his roster next season that will happen.
