I love double d’s as much as the next guy, but quadruple Dee’s???
I was there last night in a luxury box from ESPN with 20 of my friends from high school including my 2 sons who are attending SJU, LJSA I know ur an Elmont guy, we are Carey guys great time with my crew but this was a terrible showing last night pulled within 3 I thought wow can we do this but I will tell you watching this live they were just better than us period. I still think we make the tournament but we're not top 25 team. Go Johnnie's

Maybe we played up to our abilities.Think we just should start looking at Anderson ,he needs to up his recruiting game.We need bigger stronger quicker talent at every position. This season is going to be difficult. 1/2 court offense and defense very bad.coached game regarding subs and plays etc seem non existent We can’t call it 40 mins of hell,that’s not scaring anybody. Coach is a nice guy but it came down to evaluating talent in his revisiting classes and it appears he needs to do better if he can

look guess we have to get off the negatives and try to hope things get better but we are only going to do what our present talent can provide.I am sure the players wanted to win this game

Where’s the guy now who was screaming for weeks that we will play better again s better competition?
Our Defense
Many still look confused and that lack of confidence steals away split seconds of advantage to disrupt and make steals. Not enough being proactive. Even Posh steals are down, his turnovers are up. Haven’t seen our press be effective at all.Seems below average at this point.
our Shooting
we all expected much better from the transfers and they have been extremely disappointing. Posh,Champ, Wusu playing well but not enough talent there to carry the team against top competition. Wheeler, Soriano, Coburn, Smith all have diasappeared. Mathis adequate but in reality maybe he’s only a 6th man.No outside shot.
Rebounding
Soriano terrible and out of position. Wheeler always out of position. Nobody EVER follows shots! Nobody ever even near the backboards on offense after a 3 pointer!Our 3 stars do all the work. Rebounding is a function of will and position and boxing out!
Coaching
Agree that Anderson pulls Champ when he’s hot and he shouldn’t but this is early season and he has to see what he has and that only happens when he lets everyone play.No other way to do it. Relying only on Champ won’t win us 20 games.He needs help.
Goals
I want to see Pinzon be given a lot of playing time. He has great Bball intuition and I think he has most upside of all. Also same with Stanley. I think CMA deferred to his older players but he’s seen enough and will now invest in his freshmen going forward.
