Anyone else getting annoyed at Zach B's obvious bias? Always taking stabs at St. John's and its so dreadfully obvious he has a thing for Seton Hall. He never criticizes them and always has good things to say, even though they've lost 4 in a row and just lost by almost THIRTY to Nova. I can't believe this is our Beat Writer.
What do you want him to write , that we played great today? I think he’s been on point w his commentary.

Slyfoxx1968 is right.. Additionally, from today's game crowd stunk and did not get loud until late into the 2nd half.

I hate to say this but I am realist . No NCAA tournament for us.

Todays crowd did not stink. We had nothing to get excited about until the second half. And the place was on its feet when we had a chance to tie but after four put back attempts with no score, it was clear this was not our day.

It should have hired Mike Rice. He has more experience than St. Jean. St.Jean comes from a good basketball family but he is green.

He now has almost 4 years of experience! Problem is he has been learning under himself.

Frankly, if we're constantly pining for another assistant coach, then it kinda sounds like we don't have a head coach.

Back in my day as a student, we would try to lift the team with our chants of Let's Go Redmen. Now we need something to get excited about. Wow!

So everyone knows the new additions to our 114 pic we have Johnnyfan and Patrick. Pat rated the Bronx Pale Ale a Heron 8. Weatherman Ralph Redstormrising and myself and I vehemently disagree ( actually just me ) with the beer rating :)

I don’t care about other coaches or other teams. This is a disappointing loss and season. Some will say we have a lot of season left, but 8 games into BE shows what to expect. We are an underacieving team and the players and coaches should own up to it.

He is not a good head coach as one would have thought considering how he played in college and the pro’s . He was like a coach on the floor. St Jean might be a good friend but give me Lavin’s guy Dunlap any day

It is difficult winning with only five players as Keita is certainly not what most thought he would be and Trimble and Williams leave little to expect for contributions.

Do we have less total scholarships than other teams.? What is the total allowed for each team?

About the whole Board thought we’d win today.
I think this loss is more dispiriting than the Hall game the refs stole from us.
We had a full week to recover from the Butler loss, heal, and energize, and we blew it.
I’ve got no clue what to expect the balance of the schedule: 0 & 11. 3 & 8, 5-6...8 & 3 and a dance card?
Dunno.
No clue.

Two Hall of Fame coaches on the bench and the rookie St Jean is giving out the instruction of the play. Go see video on NY Post's Mike Vaccaro article on today's game. Awful.

I know Simon’s offensive performance was putrid today to say the least. The more I think about the defensive issues though, I think you have Blame Mullin’s system. We switch defensively on almost every pass. How can we blame Simon for defense on McClung with all that switching? If we would just play straight up man with ball -you-man principles and just put Simon on McClung maybe we would have been much better off. Then you wouldn’t have Simon on Govan which is ridiculous. Who the hell knows anymore with this team!

After the OOC schedule I was tricked into believing we were a good team. What we are is a capable team if all goes well. If Ponds plays incredible and we make a bunch of 3’s than we can best anyone. Problem is that only happens every 7 games or so. All the other games we sleep walk through the motions and have a chance st the end if Ponds pulls a string of amazing plays.

On paper we should be much better but this team lacks a killer instinct and discipline. I am hoping we wake up and win some games down the stretch but I am not optimistic. I am tired of lazy defense and chucking up 3’s. Pretty depressed after this one.
