Can we stop? We were on the cusp oh hiring Calipari when the acne better known as the morality police started blemishing the search.
Pitino didn't want to come here when he was hot because he saw this as a perennial mom and popper. He's throwing out a demand for an apology from the feds as a prerequisite for taking this job...which won't be offered. The reason for the demand? A rejection from the likes of St John's is more degrading than getting caught pushing the veal off the table in order to get at some beaver.

We are likely going to be bad next year. Reach out and let the NCAA know that we will place ourselves on a one year tournament ban to be able to hire this man.

I'd beg Pitino to come here. Almost any other name gives us nothing for the next ten years. Nothing but the same crap we've been swilling for most of the time with the exception of some Jarvis/Lavin years.
Pitino is high major. He can stop the bleeding. He can bring in Artest...and perhaps Precious. No one else can. Surely not Cluess. Everyone else is sub mid major...with the exception of Hurley who'll replicate the mediocrity we've gotten used to through the last few decades.

It's sad that he's the guy that i really really want,, knowing his past. When you been bad for so long, you eventually stop caring if a person is a known cheater, and you say to hell with it, I'm willing to still take a chance on that guy, because you just want to win
