Pitino

I am back! Pitino willing to take less than most! Structure deal where he gets a piece of MSG above 15k attendance. Nike, and Fox in the Pitino corner! Big name brings big dollars!

Welcome back. I'd be willing to roll the dice with Pitino, just don't see it happening.

Update from what I am hearing..Cragg is very shrewd. He has spoken to a bunch of people including K. Pitino not eliminated, Hurley not dead yet either. There is another candidate they are keeoing close to the vest. Just told it would be a great shock if it happens. I am going to have a heart attack over this crap!

Is Cluess really being considered or is he just the fall back option at this point?

Cragg isn’t shrewd. He handled this as poorly as one can. He was coddled in a comfy position where he didn’t have to make any decisions of consequence at Duke. He put the final nail in the coffin of our program’s chances at being elite ever again.

I was tild that the people saying Hurley for months werent being straight. Cragg planned on having Mullin back and next year if progress extension. Mullin wanted it now. Was not willing to work as a lame duck coach, and Matt being gone, he had enough. So this has been fluid and not planned. Pitino really wants to come home! He wants to stick it to the man as he said!

This is absurd in all facets.

The thing that frustrates me about you is half your posts are dead on.
And half your posts are so out there and not true

Cluess really has spoken with Cragg himself. He has to be plan C. But at this point whatever the school gets back from ncaa about Pitino will either open it or close it we were told. But the Hurley thing was real, not sure where they are with that, but I feel like Hurley not coming, who is the surprise? Nobody is saying, I know K spoke to Pitino yesterday.

Sorry Moose I said I am going to have a heart attack! This changes so quickly I want to just get it over with. I promise I dont mean to ever be off base.

I thought I remember a coach being on his last year as being considered a lame duck coach. Is 2 years remeaning really cause for extension?

Moose! I said Mullin was gone before he was gone and was laughed at. I said Pitino was our guy we were pushing, and sure enough Pitino has done his part. We are not the only ones trying to break through. We have been lobbying in Durham for Pitino. We cannot control what the ncaa says. I havent been told we are dead yet and to get behind a new coach

Time to let it go, mate. He’s gone.

The ride with you was worth the fall my friend.

My head is spinning. Back up just a tad, Tom: 'with Matt gone he had had enough'. 'Who' had had enough: Mullin or Cragg?
Thanks.

I really want Pitino he’s the only guy that I think can right this ship right from the get go. I’m sure cluess is a nice guy but he’s 60 and never coached higher then the MAAC I really have no faith he’s the answer.

Chris had enough. He used to go to Bobby and others, and now they were referring him to Mike Cragg. I think Cragg planned on doing something next year if Mullin didnt have a better season. I believe this was a year to early. If we get a big name coach not named Pitino we will have to thank coach K. Believe it or not.

Yikes, hope this ends better than our search for 'Mystery Bigs' last year...lol.
