Pitino

Moose! I said Mullin was gone before he was gone and was laughed at. I said Pitino was our guy we were pushing, and sure enough Pitino has done his part. We are not the only ones trying to break through. We have been lobbying in Durham for Pitino. We cannot control what the ncaa says. I havent been told we are dead yet and to get behind a new coach
My head is spinning. Back up just a tad, Tom: 'with Matt gone he had had enough'. 'Who' had had enough: Mullin or Cragg?
Thanks.
Chris had enough. He used to go to Bobby and others, and now they were referring him to Mike Cragg. I think Cragg planned on doing something next year if Mullin didnt have a better season. I believe this was a year to early. If we get a big name coach not named Pitino we will have to thank coach K. Believe it or not.
Not sure who else is possible, Frank Martin?
He may end up at Cinn. I would like him to come!!

Fun coach. But check out his record at SC

Tom Bradley is entertaining. If Cluess isn't announced by noon tomorrow, I'm going to start believing this Pitino hype train. Lol
Well water tycoon pick is gone, come join the rest of us on the Pitino wagon!!!
It is not the fan base you have to convince it is the Board of Trustees.

It is up to what the ncaa comes back to SJU with. Cluess is the fall back option. I did say there is one more being considered . Dont know who yet. Like I have said from day 1, we are all in for Pitino. If the ncaa comes back and says toxic, then we will respect other candidates

It could take the NCAA a year or two to respond. They are not noted for quick decisions.

I hate to play this game but Pitino makes a lot of sense at this point. He’s the kind of coach who keeps us relevant. And, I don’t like it one bit, but we need something big here.

Don't want to see Pitino come out in handcuffs at halftime. Pass.

Pitino to announce tomorrow that prior to his restaurant excapade some years he had become an alcoholic. He is enrolling in a recovery program tomorrow run by the church and is seeking forgiveness for all his past deeds and is looking to start his redemption by getting back into coaching.

This is flat out false. SJU is not all in for Pitino.

Well one thing we do know...no other school with an opening is looking at Tim Cluess. So we don't have to be in a rush from that standpoint. If they truly are doing due diligence on Pitino then we may have some time in this game. Only problem is you don't want to drag the players we do have left around for too long(I'm including LJ in that).

What is false? If you have been following all along the WE is the group of donors supporting Pitino, the We does not refer to anything else or anyone else. Sorry for the confusion, so its not false, we are not supporting Cluess, didnt support Hurley
Would love to see Frank Martin here.
I doubt I'd have any problem with Frank Martin.

I get what you're saying, Moose. Actually, he probably did his best coaching job this season with not much talent on this season's team.

Ha!

I'll take my chances, Knight.

One thing we know is Keita would go running for the hills

Lets not forget this option. The Hurley situation had to play out due to Duke ties. The real Pitino battle started last night and there is still no better more cost effective option.
