Pitino was never interested in St John’s coaching job and the only reason he could possibly be now is that he nuked his own career. Pass.
 
I think Cragg came here from Duke to destroy st John's and big east in process so that the ACC can get the garden for their tournament

I never said he can’t coach. But he is what he is and I could never support of even root for someone like him. You and others obviously feel different, so be it.

Goes to show you: Great minds think alike. ... Or at least, some of the time.
 
The cheating coaching staffs of the college bb top programs have all been wondering why is the NCAA and FBI not investigating the one and dones at Duke. They know how much money they offered the recruits and find it hard to believe the three one and dones played for nothing.
So Miller hangs in , Wade comes back and next , who knows , Pitino gets exonerated.
Duke cannot under any circumstances get involved in any investigation or all of college basketball suffers.

This search as been on long enough, worried about losing the players we have and not getting the players we need to move forward. Just hire Pitino and lets go!
 
Despite plenty of fans and alum who would agree with you (myself included), you are beating a dead horse. Not happening unless the rapture is truly upon us.

The admin is looking for a choir boy/altar boy/boy scout who has never been in any trouble. In a way, that's understandable.

But, when you haven't won a single NCAA tourney game in 20 years and you still think that you are among the program greats of all-time, it is now time to go big time.

Not happening.

We are...mediocre and always will be.

Only option I see to bring this program back. It’s been 20 years. Hope the board wakes up.
 
One of the main benefits to Pitino was the assumption that he would be willing to work for less to get back in the game. The longer you wait and look more desperate, the more Body Armour money you will need to make things work.
