Orlando Sanchez

YEAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WELCOME ORLANDO!!!!!!!!!!!

YEAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
WELCOME ORLANDO!!!!! We are so happy to have you in the SJU basketball family!

I've been thinking about this for awhile but I expect more scrutiny on our program and recruits going forward by the NCAA. The staff should definitely stay away from questionable recruits and fully vet the players they're going after. No more kids with academic issues either. The NCAA will undoubtedly want to zing us down the road.

Unless you are Duke, or a program that can reload super blue chips, you can't be super selective when it comes to academics. Our last coach boasted about having all solid kids and it didnt do much for the program except getting loaded up with really nice kids.

Awesome, awesome news.

Fantastic news for next season.
Congrats to Orlando for staying true to his dream.
Congrats to Robert Orr, I hope this case takes you to the pinnacle of legal Success.
Congrats to the team and staff.

It is great news and Bienvenidos Primo!
I am sure most of your story was clear to the lazy bureaucrats at the NCAA in November!
Sorry it took our brain trusts 4 months to hire an attorney powerful enough to "shout" your story to the world via the NYTimes, ESPN and all the major media outlets to get the NCAA's immediate attention.
Time for the NCAA to start advocating for the "student-athletes" on their own accord and not only when they are threatened with lawsuits to do so!

Primo exudes confidence in last weeks interview with  "DOMINICANOS EN BASKET".

As we now know, his optimism paid off.  Good for NYC's half million Dominican fans!  More Spanish language advertising coming up?

Probably better that we get Orlando next year than this year. This team has just gone under a maturation process and with Orlando we have a great chance at a Final Four as was noted in today's story by Lenn Robbins in the NY Post.

who'd you rather have??? one and done possibility jordan...or one and done sanchez.

sanchez makes the most sense to me.

...... No more kids with academic issues either.....

Mr. Sanchez was found to be be eligible by the NCAA.

He should never have been ruled ineligible by the NCAA.

Had Sanchez had the financial resources to fight the NCAA at an earlier time then he would have been able to play this season.

The NCAA is a corrupt organization with double standards (see 2012 determination regarding UNC class for basketball players)

Please read the below linked article in the New York Times:

Believe it or not I had a dream last night that he would be cleared. Congrats orlando

I usually dream of Scarlet Johansson and Mila Kunis ;)

And have they ever found you eligible?

1 way dream

Oh, how I empathize. ... However, our dreams about (1) Sanchez becoming eligible, and (2) the (awfully named) Catholic 7 keeping the Big East moniker and breaking free next season HAVE come true. Now, if only our dream about Rysheed Jordan becoming a Johnnie comes true, it'll be quite a run.

Congratulations to Orlando, he deserves it. Still have no respect for the NCAA and wish they would have made up for their mistake and let Orlando play for the rest of this season as well. The only 2 seasons that should have counted are the Monroe years. Thanks to Felipe Lopez for helping to bring him here.

I know it was a pipe dream but I really wanted him to play now to make a run for the last of the Old Big East tourneys. Of course I would rather have him for next year if there is no choice though.

This is unbelievably great news! I don't know how they did it, but they did it! How come no comment from those long time die hard fans, Joe and Miquel? Or do they only post incessantly when things aren't going well?

Don't think that's fair to say since I think it's pretty obvious that Joe3 was unfortunately banned. Would have been fun to read some of his comments about the great news today which I think even he would have been positive about. I am sure he is just itching to write something at his computer right now.

So let me get this straight: We get Orlando next year, we get to keep the Big East name and Joe was banned? All in the same day? It doesn't get much better then this.
