Orlando Sanchez

So if Orlando is cleared quickly, do you put him in the lineup at this late stage of the season and hope for a BE tournament run and NCAA bid or do you keep him on the sidelines and load up for next season?

You only put him in now if the NCAA gave him another full year next year anyway. You would not want to waste a full year on possibly only 4 or 5 games.

There is no way were talking this year. It would burn any eligibility if granted. And I dont think they would be like play him next yr plus now if you want since we were such jerks :)

This is a ploy for next year thats it. Fingers crossed it works.

Thanks Moose and 2014. Figured as much. Definitely changes the look of our roster if we have him for the full season next year.

What happens with Gift now? he was only red shirted because he wouldn't get playing time over Orlando.

The more national attention I see paid to the the story and the fact we have a lawyer working on it, I feel more and more comfortable we'll get him back for next year.

If he is as good as some say, wouldn't there be a chance an NBA team drafts him in 2nd round even though he didn't play?

you are right he probably could based on potential alone. But that is the beauty of him, he wants his degree first, no matter what, he is a true student athlete that needs his scholarship to get that diploma.

Class guys like Sanchez, Garrett, Lavin and all the rest make me excited for this program's future even though it is frustrating to watch them play at times.

Don't forget Gift who is also making use of his scholarship, and is working towards his masters which he should earn next year I believe.

Agreed. If this works out as planned, I hope Gift is not lost in the shuffle. The guy has been a good soldier and could add some valuable minutes next season.

He might want out on his own too. We were always playing with fire where he could pick up and leave after the year with no penalty and play wherever next year.

Don't forget God's Gift, he'll be a nice backup. Shouldn't be outrebounded next year.

Plus Dom and Amir-- we will be loaded with forwards.

No, but will still be consistently outcoached

Don't be so sure about that, I have faith in our coaching staff and feel they have done a wonderful job so far.
