Orlando Sanchez

Funny auburn site says Sanchez is not committed. He's very much committed. Even Max Hooper confirmed that he was there this weekend when Sanchez committed.

my friend, who's assistant athletic director at monroe, says sanchez is not committed. he says it doesn't mean he won't commit...but it's not in the bank yet.

You mean not signed LOI, but he certainly verbally committed this weekend from all reports, even Hooper's.

no...i mean undecided. am told lavin was blowing smoke to sny to "pressure" sanchez. zagoria rips off other threads, including this and johnny jungle for much of its "news". it's not a done deal.

Who's blowing smoke now? I'm sure those on the Auburn site would welcome a few more dillusional fans who still believe that Sanchez is uncommitted.

my source talks to zagoria all the time. when zagoria said sanchez was coming, he quoted sny. look at what i wrote. it's accurate. just because someone verbals or leans towards us doesn't mean they've signed a loi. but you know that if you've been following this team for the past two years.

Really? "Lavin was blowing smoke" and Sanchez is "undecided" were accurate statements? There are clearly a few folks on this board who actually have inside info (I am not one of them), and there are some others who stir the pot for no apparent reason. It appears that Zag was right all along, as were the insiders on this board who refuted your comments from earlier this week. I think your comments were in fact inaccurate and did nothing more than get folks nervous when they were trying to enjoy another big signing. I'm glad folks like Moose, Dinkins and others give us the real "scoop".

It's clear to me that Sanchez wanted to be able to have a signing party and perhaps create some drama. I have no doubt that Sanchez told Newsman's guy that he was uncommitted. But there are also some guys on here who I suspect only have one middleman between them and the staff. And I'm pretty sure there's at least one guy who has the power to call Lavin directly. So those guys knew that Sanchez actually was in the bag even if the public was supposed to think otherwise.

you can wipe the brown off your nose now.

Newsmwn: I appreciate you sharing w us what your source said. I think he was playing w semantics ,implying that LOI wasnt signed meaning his recruitment wasnt a done deal.

I'm sure it's probably already posted on this thread, but no harm in keeping it current. How nice of Providence to put together a highlight video of our commitments.

23 second mark is just a silly dunk by Sanchez. 46 second mark is the start of back-to-back Bourgault to Sanchez dimes. First is a 20 foot crisp chest pass from what appears to be one or two dribbles after an outlet, and the second is an alley-oop from outside three-point line in transition. Something tells me Coach Dunlalp is really going to like what Bourgault brings to table offensively.

does anyone else think he needs to have a little more arc on his shot? maybe i'm reading into it too much

Maybe, but as long as it has enough arc to go through the hoop (which it did on many of his shots), then it's fine by me.

I think it looks perfect. Especially for a 6"9" PF. Orlando and Jakarr will be havoc up front for less athletic forwards.

He reminds me a little of one of my all time faves, Bob Pettit. He put up some ridiculous numbers with that line drive shot.

Houston Cougars did great with a 6-9 center named Elvin Hayes So 6-9 can work

5'9" Johnny O'brien played the post for Seattle University . Their team even upset the Harlem Globetrotters. Their are always exceptions. As was Elvin Hayes who was flat out great !

You , by and large, don't put your money on exceptions, unless you're looking for tax deductions.

Whether he be 6'9" or 6'11" the thing you need is a board banger, blocker, and bucket banker .

The S A T results will be out around the 24th of the month. That well may be what we are waiting for with Chandler. That and/or accreditation of his courses.
