Four-star wing Jalen Hill will announce his college choice at 5:30 ET. Finalists: Oklahoma, TCU, St. John’s & TCU
Yes usually when a kid announces he's ready to commit before making his scheduled visit to your school, it's not a great sign ;)

Gawd, won't it be sweet to finally prevail with one of our top targets?!?
Meanwhile, watching them snatched away is torture.
I remain optimistic, we'll get one of our top choices--but the 'wait'--OMG, the 'wait'...

247Sports has it unanimous, 7-zip, for Oklahoma, including 3 (Daniels) today.

Just to torture you further, Daniels just noted:
“Jalen Hill has pushed his college decision back to Thursday”

Sounding like Oklahoma for Jalen Hill, four star wing expecting to announce Thursday. #sjubb was in mix.

[I've never been the type to just sit back and take it. Enough with the ball breaking.
And this is a thousand times the problem that repetitive posting is. You've got to learn to let things go. If you don't learn to let things go, especially over something as dumb as people criticizing your posts on a fan board, I guarantee you'll be dead by the time you are 50. I'm sure there are some guys here who post just to get a rise out of you. Have you ever considered not responding? They'll probably get bored and leave you alone. . .
If it's one person starting conflict with me that's easily ignored. If it's a huge group on the board doing it in tandem with each other with all the piling on, I'm not ignoring that. The problem only grows when piling on is allowed instead of people stepping in to say "ok enough, he's a SJ fan too just with different views than you give him a break". Thankfully, some have said similar things the past few days. Let's just talk hoops and leave the snarky attitudes behind. Not sure why that's too much to ask for some.

By the way, if our strategy really is to recruit players we know won't commit to us but maybe come back as transfers eventually does not seem like a legitimate way to recruit. It's a very rare thing from what I've seen. There are 2 reasons for the lack of recruiting results 1) lack of effort (in large part by MItch but hopefully he's actually ready to do his job now), and 2) zero results outside of 2 isolated big time wins in Mullin's tenure. I fully expect to start landing major recruits again if we prove we can be a tourney team this year. There needs to be a ton of effort and a lot of winning.

Expect another perimeter guy disappointment shortly I sense.
From what I hear SJU may get shutout on their top targets again.
When it comes to SJU, does that surprise anyone?
From what I hear SJU may get shutout on their top targets again.
pretty sure you are right. Still Happy called me today and I said “ what more bad news you calling with “ luckily he said “ dude I’m just trying to plan my wife’s 40th bday party “. Such is the life of tortured St. John’s fans . Lol

Might be time to start targeting those whom no other schools are recruiting. Maybe we can sign some student managers or something. (No offensive 85). :)
From what I hear SJU may get shutout on their top targets again.
How is that possible? It's year 4 of the on-the- job training experiment. You obviously have an anti Mullin agenda! I can hear stuff too! I'm hearing SJ will land the two recruits they need. I'll let you know who they are when they announce their intention to transfer.;)

Lavin left the roster bare after he was fired in 2015 that is why they are unable to land top recruits.

How does inheriting a thin roster have anything to do with being able to connect and recruit top kids in year 4? Absolutely nothing but someone is bound to use it.

BTW-Remember a few weeks ago when I stated that offering people like Jalen HIll, Jaylin Williams, Anthony Walker and Kadin Shedrick had LESS to do with a staff trying to make sure they have solid backup plans IF their main targets go elsewhere and MORE about a staff that is simply poorly constructed with no real recruiting strategy and is constantly recruiting from behind. Remember? I am afraid in the next few weeks you are going to see the results of what I just said.
