First off I wanna start by saying I apologize to the fans and supporting cast of St. Johns. I can understand the frustration, and I will accept the criticism from you guys because of my decision. Just want all of you to know that this was an extremely hard decision to make. But ultimately I felt as though this decision was best for me and my fami8ly. I love St. Johns!! And I will continue to support Redstorm Nation and family. Once again, I am sincerely sorry if you guys feel like I let you down, Ill always love and support St. Johns.

Sounds like a mutual parting of the ways, at the very least.

At least we won't have to worry about him leaving early to turn pro.

Actually wouldnt be shocked if thats where he's going. I mean hes older as it is. Where is he gonna go? D2 he can play now but D1 he would have to wait until next December.

He should go to William Patterson with Corey Chandler and Lance Brown.

Or maybe we can trade one for two?

So he is going to work towards NBA.

Is it me, or does anyone else think this guy doesnt have a chance at the NBA? Hardy didnt even get drafted and in my opinion, he was on a different level than Lindsey.

Dang. Hard to develop a good old-fashioned sports hate when the kid goes out like that.

Hate his decision, but at least he's not blaming others for it.

Wow. New Twitter posts say he's not transferring to another school, but will be prepping for the NBA.

Wonder if he'll be training with Omar Cook.

9 games into his college career, 5 or 6 that were not good-- and now he wants to get ready for the NBA? This kid is delusional.

From what I recall, only myself and lawmanfan didn't think he had a shot in hell at the NBA.

You make me sick Nuri.

Right now I dont see him a s an NBA player. so basically his thinking is that he might be better off not playing at st johns and improving to leaving and taking a chance of the nba.

Well if that is his thinking then good luck.

He might have had the talent but this is now the 2nd time he has 'quit'. I know the first time he experienced tragedy in his family. This time we lost 4 out of 5 games and he jumps ship. Not questioning his character directly but NBA teams will look very carefully before investing millions in someone.

and what about the value of obtaining a college degree. What if he sustains career ending circumstances. God forbid

I just sent a text to a fellow Johnnies fan stating, I doubt Lindsey steps foot on a college campus again. I didn't think he'd want to sit out 'til December next season before playing basketball again. He's already 22 years old, so I figured he would want to accelerate his chances on playing pro ball.

I think he'll end up overseas for a few years before or if he ever gets a chance to play in the NBA. Good luck!

my question how does this make it best for him and his family, by not playing. he cant play in the nba this year so he just sits out and practices and plays in aau games, hoping to impress an nba team. where playing on national tv for a quality basketball program doesn't.

weird to say the least.

His persona on twitter (level headed) vs. his actions on the court (imo seems to get angry with teammates, sulks, etc.) and this rash decision leave a total disconnect.

Exactly, unless he is having some personal issues with his family-- he has got to finish the year out. He leaves when he knows how short- handed the team is? Really Nuri?

Now let Phil run the point. I think he realized Greene was a better all around player and would be getting the minutes he thought would go to him.

Pretty selfish, but it is what it is.

Bring in Amir and Cummings and lets enjoy watching the kid grow that want to be here.

His quotes in the press release about Lavin not coaching him are lacking class IMO.
