Nuri Leaving

So Gift and the 4 freshmen becomes a reality.
Garret and Stith puts us back to a 7 man rotation.
I don't think we're any worse, we're just not any better.

If, Garrett and Cummings show up then you may have a good point, TIS.... Not better, but not worse either.

Just to add on, I am starting to believe, for the first time, that the question is "if" we come back to prominence under Lavin, not "when" we come back.

Consistant promenince, I mean. There's always a season here or there where we may crop up.

What a short memory.
You forgot last season already?

Supposedly the kid & Dunlap butted heads over the past few weeks & he feels he can do better elsewhere. Where is anyone's guess.

I can't believe he let his teammates down like that. Its disgusting that he would just quit.

Going into conference play with 6 guys is just down right criminal.

It also sucks for Lavin - he's now gonna have to rush back and control this sinking ship.

Go to the STJ sports facebook site and read what Nuri's boys were posting there yesterday, specifically about Dunlap.
I'm certain this had a bearing on his "departure."

I said "consistant promience", Tom. As in, year-to-year. You know, like the mid-80s were for us.

Yes, last season was a great one, but we've lost all momentum from it, IMO.

Regarding the black cloud I alluded too are that the two factors we all debated (Lavin's absence and the BE) are starting to catch up to us. The ship needs to be righted and stabilized.

I am more upset that someone 1) quit on this team and 2) we now have even less players/depth. However, I really cannot say I am upset Nuri is leaving. Personally, I think he stinks. Who wants a PG that doesn't pass (high TO/A ratio), cant shoot, plays minimal defense, and makes bad decisions constantly. The problem is just depth now but if we get Amir and 1 or 2 more and then some of the guys next year come we are fine. This year will just be tougher. I think PG will emerge from this, maybe even Moe and Harrison. Lindsey was not a team player he was a ball hog.

About 4th post down, and make sure it's set on all posts, not just the one's released from the school.

I blush. Doesn't look good on Nuri, but can't blame the kid for what others are posting.

 TIS nailed it.

This isnt Redlands where the other 4 guys are told to get out of the way. Kid has a lot of people in his ear with their hands out.

The posts are basically calling out Dunlap for taking Nurideen off the floor at times, and someone who claims to be his mother seems to echo their sentiments. We have all seen that Nuri has struggled mightily at times this season, but imo he showed flashes early on that he could be an effective player in the big east, while maybe not at the PG position. If this is true, it is devastating to our depth, and makes gettin Garrett here even more important than it already was, if thats even possible.

My first was that these people know nothing about proper grammer (and this coming from someone who probably shouldn't talk on the issue).

The guy who started it claims that he doesn't know Lindsey, but several others seemed to call him out on it. Even if he didn't know, it's clear that they jumped in on the topic.

I also didn't understand the post from the woman claiming to be Nuri's mom (You can never tell on those sites if that's truthful or not, but I have no reason to not believe her). Was she defending the staff, or attacking them? That wasen't clear.
