I don't think he'd be a complete disaster but I also don't think he'd elevate the program above this purgatory we're currently in. Made 1 NCAA Tournament in 7 years in the SEC, worse than CMA's record before coming here. The 3 straight final 4s in the mid 2000s at UCLA was very impressive but that was also 15 years ago now and in his 12 coaching seasons since he has 4 tournament appearances and 2 wins.

Smart was not fired. He left Texas.

And we all know the reasons Miller was fired.

Shaka was *fired from a school with unreasonably high expectations and Miller was fired for being a cheater. Not same situation as Howland, who didn't move the needle for two seasons there. It would be same as CMA. We need better. No lateral changes.
