New York Mets-2018

Even though I have been critical of some of Callaway's decisions I must compliment the improvement in both Matz and Wheeler, has both working quickly.Shouldn't forget Eiland as well.

DeGrom, Syndergaard, Maltz and Wheeler give the Mets a solid core rotation to build around. This offseason they need to get a bat and fix the bullpen. Get rid of Cespedes, Bruce and older players. Get young and athletic but don’t trade the 4 pitchers. Build on them.

FTR, I'm a big fan of Terry Francona, Just noting the irony here.
So at least now we know what part of Francona Calloway brought to the Mets.
Not defending Calloway, he has not impressed me at all but let's face it. the Mets just stink. What money they invest is done stupidly; other teams develop players, the Mets ruin them. Just a god awful organization from top to bottom. Outside of deGrom, pretty much an unwatchable team.

Agree but it just gets tiring having Calloway blow sunshine up our ass after yet another Met loss.

Agree about their lack of development. Just look at guys like Flexen and Conlan. they are the best we have in Vegas.I've been a critic of Callaway but I will give him and Eiland credit for the improvement of both Matz and Wheeler. They have them working quickly and controlling their emotions after one of their mistakes.
Not happy with Conforto and NImmo's strikeout rate. In the last 50 at bats Nimmo has struck out 34 times. And to think Conforto is considered our best hitter.

Amazing how accurate the OP is. And brilliant. Full of charm and appeal. Handsome, elegant, intelligent, sweet... He's really ideal!

Good thing mets have DeGrom. They never win anyway when he pitches (usually that is, I know they won tonight). Cy Young award winner as a starting pitcher with 5 wins. LOL.

Yeah, unbelievable. Didn't realize Noah was a cloven-hoofed animal.

deGrom going on the DL with a bad case of Captain Trips. Rest of the team suffering from really bad biorhythms. Met management has provided mood rings to monitor player demeanor, speculating a turn to violet within a few years.

The last time the Violet beat the Redmen in '66, the after game party was in Fuchsia's apartment on E. 119th. James Brown was playing at the Apollo and some of the Flames stopped by as well.

So it appears that the over/under for Cespedes second half home runs is 1. The only thing funnier than that would be a new thread titled:

Reason For Locking The "Reason For Locking The 'Reason For Locking The "Lesser of Two Evils" Topic' Topic" Topic

but I have no desire for the rookie experience, which the Mets will supply for us all in a few weeks.
