New York Mets-2018

He is having an excellent year to date. 19 innings in 15 games and 1.83 ERA; he has thrived with move to bullpen. I saw him start against Padres in SD when we were there on vacation last June and he struggled. Looks like he has found his spot. Very nice to see guys like Dlo, Amir & Green from that first Lavin recruiting class doing well. Haven't seen anything on Dom Pointer lately. Is he also playing overseas?

A few thoughts on the Mets. At the end of April I put together a little summary on the Mets and ended it with let’s see what May brings. Well so far it’s brought a 1-8 record.

As for the new Catcher, I agree he can’t be worse then Tomas Nido but don’t expect a lot. Just look at who we traded to get him.

As for batting out of order - this hasn’t happened to the Mets in over 30 years and just about everything bad you can think of has.

Mickey Callaway is having a helluva a week. Keith Hernandez remarked "I haven't seen that in years"....
BTW I coach a team of 8-10 year old kids. We have 16 kids that have to play. I have to swap out 7 kids in the 4th inning. We have never batted out of order.
Pathetic
Thank you. You just gave me the laugh of the day! I remember fumbling around pieces of paper while trying to get Joe or Bob to hit 8th and play RF all while we too never batted out of order.
Today's error is completely unacceptable for a ML team. He had 12 hours to create a line-up, put on a card and copy it to the dugout wall. He didn't do his job. You blow it mid-game on a double switch, that is one thing. Not giving the correct line-up to the Ump. Just embarrassing. Then lose the game by one run....
Callaway was responsible and took the blame but DiSarcina, his bench coach, was the culprit.

The Mets will regroup. It’s a very long and streaky season.
The Team wasn’t as good as 11-1, nor are they as bad as 7-16. It’s a very long and streaky season.
The pitching will revive, behind DeGrom, Syndy, Wheeler, Gsellman, Lugo and Matz. The lineup will re-energize with Nimmo/Lagares, Cabrera, Cespedes, Conforto, Bruce//Flores, Frazier, Plawecki/Mesoraco, Rosario.
127 games to go.
The NL East is wide open.
Watch.
Let’s go Mets.

See the Mets have brought me some excitement over the 18 or so years.. whereas the Jets and SJU have kicked me hard in the jimmy so many times I have lost count.

I give you credit. This is one train wreck I'm compelled not to watch until things get a little better. Right at the moment, only cheap stubhub tickets on a perfect summer's evening is keeping my interest sustained.

Callaway not showing Blevins any love today, allowing Sewald to pitch to a left handed hitter, Williams. As you know a three run homer followed. Of course Blevins hasn't been a stopper this year even against lefties. A lot of second guessing from Met fans.

The Mets always tease then fall back down to earth with injuries or collapses, then avoid making any significant moves that can save the season. It's a franchise with no serious will to compete in the front office.

Unless someone else retweets Thor. Look at me at my age being somewhat social media savvy. LOL

Hopefully, “Thor” stops the Sid Fernandez impersonation, he just doesn’t doesn’t trust his stuff, nibble, nibble, nibble; 3-2 on every hitter. He needs a minimum of 20 pitches to get through every inning.
