Every possession where this Cam Thomas kid doesn’t touch the ball is a waste for LSU
very true but come tourney time the gods play a lot into everythingespken post=427374 said:Villanova and Creighton can thank the basketball gods for making it to the Sweet 16.
Villanova beats 12 seed Winthrop and 13 seed North Texas
Creighton beats 12 seed UCSB and 13 seed Ohio U, but Gonzaga awaits.
That is not accurate.nycfan post=427378 said:Believe this is first time since the new BE was formed in 2014 that we have multiple teams in the Sweet 16 and also a first that a team other than Nova made it to Sweet 16 from the new BE.
And to add to that, can anyone really remember what conferences did well in what particular year over the past decade in the NCAA tournament? Seems unlikely.Monte post=427370 said:I'm probably in the small minority here when I say ; I could care less what other conferences do. I barely even care much what our conference does.

Might need to take a pay cut...

Villanova Champion (and Sweet 16) in 2015-2016, and 2017-2018.
Xavier made it to the Sweet 16 in 2014-215, and Elite 8 in 2016-17.
Butler made it to the Sweet 16 in 2016-2017.
My bad.
Probably not but we know which one repeatedly fails to live up to the overall hype, the Big Ten.Room112 post=427386 said:And to add to that, can anyone really remember what conferences did well in what particular year over the past decade in the NCAA tournament? The problem is it'll largely be forgotten if Michigan wins it all.SJU85 post=427399 said:Probably not but we know which one repeatedly fails to live up to the overall hype, the Big Ten.Room112 post=427386 said:And to add to that, can anyone really remember what conferences did well in what particular year over the past decade in the NCAA tournament? Hamilton recently signed 5 year contract extension at 71 years old. Remarkable coaching career, belongs in HOF, imo.
